Subject: European Union
At east there are terrorists. And we are fighting against them. That is why we are not also a terrorist supporter country.
I did not say that it is. I siad that for many people it is. Did I shared with you my opnion about Turkey's wildness? NO. And I'm not preconceived to Turkey. I've gotta repeat third or fourth time: Turkey in EU??? Yes, but not now. How many times will I have to repeat that???

East of Turkey is very wild, i heard...
Then why don't you bother to come and see the thigns from here? I'm quite sure esp. nowadays Turkey is much more secure and nice place to visit than Czech Rep.

Hmm I dont travel much but see Istanbul may be nice. But I dont trust that its more secure than in the Czech Republic:p I am not big traveller, I was only in Italy, Croatia, Great Britain and nearest countries, I have not money to travel so far...
Ok. Then, tell those many people that, Turkey is not wild.
OK :) I'm not a politician or some religious leader to tell them that. And I also do not think that Turkey is more secure country than Chech Rep. I've been to Slovakia, Croatia, USA, and this year I'm going to... Chech Rep.
I would like to visit Turkey but it doesn't seem a safe country. forgive me...

Oh sorry, look at my posts in some other topics and you'll se that I was correct there. In Poland Czech Rep is Republika Czeska. i don't know why, I just sometimes make some mistakes ;p
OK, I don't want to get out of topic. This discussion is neither "Is Turkey European" nor "Turkey is a nice, secure, wonderful nation" discussion:P
Back to topic, I think EU might be further increase its size to Eastern Europe, but yet it is a Western European based alliance. Historically and currently there's a big difference btw eastern and western part of Europe. In current EU, west earns over east. Poorer eastern nations are used for cheaper labour and the legislations are biased towards protecting the richer and wealthier countries. I seriously doubt Poland, Czech Rep., Romania will benefit from the Union as much as England, France, Germany.

I saw it from some guys before so I was interested how its going in this way:)
As Poland counts more than Luxembourg...I dont see point. Of course some countries benefit more than anothers:)
Germany gets less than it pays. But as for money 0 has to be equal to 0 so some countries have to get more some have to get less... I've heard that Germany wants to leave because it pays the highest amount of money and gets very little.
And that's true - Poland gets a lot of money but we cannot make a use of it.

nope, it is the opposite. The poorer countries benefit more, they can go to richer countries to work and earn more money then they did before, they get a lot of money from the richer countries to "build up" know-how, infrastructure etc. On the long term germany may profit from the EU, but not now, it has expanded to fast in far east for that. :) That is also one of the reasons why Switzerland and Norway are not in the EU. To much money had to be payed, nothing would come back. And people are afraid of losing their jobs. Well at least here in switzerland most of the Anti-Eu-Propaganda was fought on this two fears and they succeeded with it.

Hmm I think the western countries(I dont like this markings) also benefit because new markets without limits, free travel and eastern countries havent these advantages at all...
I agree with Rink. "Poorer" countries also get advantadges, especially in tourism. For instance, Praha has become over the last years one of the favourite destination for french travellers. I don't think the same would have happened if people still had to get visas and many authorizations to enter Czech Republic.
Working in projects financed by the EU, we also have to integrate in our projects teams institutions from many different countries, with a special emphazis on recent members, and many fundings dedicated to applicant countries and those who have special agreements with the EU (eg Switzerland).
As a ccl, the growth in "eastern" countries has increased since they are in the EU, and their growth is usually much higher than western countries such as France and Germany.
Let me remind you that most of the EU growth comes from poorer countries, which are now more involved in international trade, having more clients and more suppliers for every single product.
One question about pure politics: Do you think EU might one day have a president/instutional leader or shall we keep this European Council (all ministers gathering) to take critical decisions?
