Subject: Favorite national cooking
Well it differs. My three favorites are smørrebrød, skipperlabskovs and svensk pølseret.
Smørrebrød are open sandwiches on rugbrød (rye bread) or alternatively on white bread.
Rye bread is a Danish phenomenon but it should be possible to buy it in the Danish house on Champs Elysses. If you don't live near Paris or want to bake it yourself here's a recipe.
You cut the rye bread in small slices and put butter on it. Then put lettuce on and choose what you want on the top. Three of my favorites are: 1) potatoes, mayonaise and chives - 2) a warm fillet of fish, remoulade and squeeze a bit of lemon on the top 3) called "Sol over Gudhjem": a frishly smoked herring, sliced radish, chives and topped with egg yolk.
If you're interested in the recipes for skipperlabskovs and svensk pølseret just tell me and I'll try to write them. Both meals are rather heavy though.

Well I found 2 nice sites about Czech cooking. My favorite traditional Czech food is Svíčková.

Svíčková doesn´t look like a delicious dish, but it sure is:)
Its very delicious but maybe looks like products of something what you do after you will eat something bad or drink too much:)

That´s what we call Morcilla, and we eat it in the asado(you could call it barbacue, but it´s nothing like the ones you see in USA movies).
Smørrebrød/smørbrød is about as exotic and fancy as the stuff that sometimes sticks under my shoes.
yes i know cacciucco but is very hard to do!!
I know becouse my grandmother did it, nd i remember that was difficult to do becouse you need to cook this dish with 6 different typical fishes, and i 'm very disappoint when i heard to call someone Cacciucco like sauce, it is a typical dish of my city, better say cacciucco is is more famous dish!!!

If so - I'd like taste that then ;) Well smørrebrød can be rather boring if you just get a plain slice of rugbrød with a boring piece of ham. But it's rather delicious imo if you out on the right things (ie. the three proposals in my post).
i realy realy like spageti balonez (italian food) my israely favorite food is shwarma :p
Once I ate in a german restorant a Gulash with Spaezles, I know that gulash it´s hungarian dish, but I think that with the spaezles is a viennese or german version of it. Btw, I really like it!!!
