Subject: World cup Handball

Well, I know about these cases (or Neven Subotić (Serbia-USA), Daniel Majstorović (Serbia-Sweden), Dušan Djurić (Serbia-Sweden), but Pulzejević and Eklemović have moved to Hungary already as players (I think Pulzejević has even played for Serbia before) and chosen the Hungarian national team. Is the handball-perspective in Serbia low? I mean, Pick Szeged, one of the two main Hunarian handball teams has 70% Serbs in the team and plays regularly in the Champions league. I wonder why Serbian club teams cannot emerge if they can produce good players?

because serbian sport clubs (no difference handbal, basketball, football) have no money to keep their best players

Also I heard the Danish commentators remark that the best Serbian "pivot" (?? the central attacker) in their opinion was playing in the Danish league and he was not selected for the team. They mentioned a few more Serbian players from the Danish league that they thought would improve the Serbian team.

But maybe they were just talking bollocks...

i personally am not a big fan of handball. was never interesting for me to watch it, but to say that handball is a sport for girls is really not the smartest thing to say.

handball is sport with loads of very strong body contact. i'd put it on top of my "male sports" list with rugby.

Mens handball is the most violent and physical game I know (extreme sports excluded). These guys really get to wrestle for 60 minutes with no helmets or protective gear on. I guess each and every one of those guys have tried to break their nose at least 5 times in their career ;-)

we will beat sweden and spain with the same result as with Kuwait and Cuba...:) I must be optimistic....:)

Or play like the game with South Korea against Sweden and Spain (I hope... Croatia is maybe the biggest favorite to win afterall) :p

Look who's talking. England has to be the weakest sporting nation in the world. The only sport where you are somewhat ok is soccer..... :))

They didnt do bad at the Olympics so somehow you should revise your judgement...

As for Handball, I'd love to see France confirming their good form seen at the Olympics where there was just no one to match them... Thing is the tournament is in Croatia so we'll have to be realistic and think the home nation can go far too cause they aint that bad either!
