These days some can be happy to live in France or Germany, the last countries with a strong economy in Europe, still big in debt though.

Well, its about what you can do.
I published my CV 2 weeks ago and i am getting at least 1 job offer daily.

There is a lot of open jobs. Even if thesedays economy is in stagnation.

It may seem that i am hard on people who cant get a job. But just their fault that they wasted their education. And they can still learn new things so they can get a job.

Your country has only 6,8% of people unemployed, compared to Spain's 24,1% that's two different worlds.

Your words may apply in your country but not in the rest of the UE (specially the PIIGS).

i'm master in mechanical engineering (energy and process engineering), speak 2 foreign languages and learning 3rd + very proficient with most of applications used in my field yet it's 6months since i finished university and so far my best achievement is being on one job conversation. in whole country we get like 2-3 job adverts per month in my field + most of them want experienced workers as lot of people got fired lately so why take me as a newbie when they can take oldschool for same money as people are desperate

so i guess it does have something to do with country one lives in as i really don't think my university cool i guess :)))))

Czech Republic has 8.4% unemployed people.

But as many know i am not from Czech Republic, but Slovakia. => 13,9%

And i've got offers form Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Finnland so far.
One company from Slovakia told me that they have employees from Spain.

So, Yes. You can find work.

Seems you chose wrong university or job occupation. Like i did, or better to say my father, for my high school.

Now you need to learn something that is in demand.

well i guess i need to say, that in my country my job is one that people say "easy" to find a job with

with ~40% unemployment rate, i don't think you can imagine the situation :)))

but, i'm searching for a job abroad, although my problem is i am not eu citizen :(

Not everyone has university degree and 7 years of experience as a programmer :P
You could live in any country in the world within few weeks with your qualifications.

I agree with you that people should adapt, but that is just one side of the story.

neurogaycer should have gotten a job long time ago, should apply for doctorate somewhere they pay you 40-50k per year to do it and then give you a citizenship when you finish it :)

But everyone could try to get an university degree. And they can do it now.
Its about that they are just whining and doing nothing to adapt.

i don't have a un.degree and i'm working in the same company for 6 years now, last week i got my second job as a sport director in croatian premier league handball club.
i worked my ass up to here, . salary is 12k€ per year + other provision income.
When I read your posts, I can just say, screw the degree

there are 'degrees' and degrees...you can be a plane constructor and an unemployed philosophy/sociology graduate after studies

there is no sense in saying both 'screw the degree' and 'everyone needs to have a degree'

I have my BA diploma, next year I'll finish my Master studies and I already have a good job - I work when I have time and if I work, I make about ~1.5k€/month + some additional works, for example 2 weeks ago I earned 100€ in one day, after about 3-4 hours of work
You don't have almost the highest taxes. There are a lot of countries with higher taxes (Scandinavian countries, Low Countries, Germany, Austria, ...).

You have to compare our income with the cost of living. Living in Belgium is rather expensive.

Croatia has one of the highest tax rates in the world. At one point we even held the world record when additional crisis tax was introduced.. And these are rates. That's got nothing to do with cost of living. It's a percentage the government takes from your earned salary.

On top of that, we hold 2nd European place in VAT rate which is at 25% and only Hungary has higher.
