Subject: Your job

You don't have almost the highest taxes. There are a lot of countries with higher taxes (Scandinavian countries, Low Countries, Germany, Austria, ...).

You have to compare our income with the cost of living. Living in Belgium is rather expensive.

Croatia has one of the highest tax rates in the world. At one point we even held the world record when additional crisis tax was introduced.. And these are rates. That's got nothing to do with cost of living. It's a percentage the government takes from your earned salary.

On top of that, we hold 2nd European place in VAT rate which is at 25% and only Hungary has higher.

You think you can prove Croatia has high taxes by the maximum marginal tax rate. That's cute ;-)

And of course, cost of living has nothing to do with taxes. I just mentioned that if you want to compare wages between countries. PPP.

VAT is just a part of taxes. Example: in Belgium, all income from labor above 32.000 euro is taxed at 50%. That's rather unique.

Don't tell me Croatian taxes are high compared to ours. Really. Don't make yourself look like a fool in this topic too. You know I study economy, so don't take me for a fool on fiscal topics. Please, for your own sake.

No, I know that your government takes a bigger proportion of your salary but nevertheless, we're not that far away. ;)

And if you take PPP into equation then you can also see that our country is almost equally on our backs as yours but at the much lower general wellbeing level which hurts much more. When you have a third of your available average income going on food, then you don't have many economical choices really. ;)

I know you study economy. It seems that you don't know that I have finished the same studies 11 years ago. ;)

I didnt say, that you need a university degree. I just said, that those who cant find a job just wasted their education.
Ergo studied on wrong schools for job occupation what isnt in demand.
It seems that you don't know that I have finished the same studies 11 years ago. ;)

If you proof your high taxes with the maximal marginal tax rate, I doubt you finished the same studies.
If you proof your high taxes with the maximal marginal tax rate, I doubt you finished the same studies.

If you study with the same focus you read my posts, I doubt you will eventually finish yours.

It's not the maximal marginal rate but the effective tax rate on 100.000 USD of Gross Income. It's all in the linked article that refers to this study's 2009 version. But aparently you don't need to read that to know what I am talking about. You will just blindly shoot nonsense from the top of your head as usual.

As you can see from 2011 study, now that our 2009 crisis tax has been removed in 2010, Belgium is back at No1 and Croatia is 3rd behind Papua New Guinea. But I think that 100.000 USD is a too high example taken. If we would take e.g. 20.000 USD which is an average in Croatia, then I think we would take 1st place from you because you don't tax the lower income as much as we do. ;)

But I was not trying to prove that we have higher income tax than Belgium but that we are one of the unfortunate leaders.
Given the sources you normally give us, you can't blame me for not reading them.
Yes. My prediction was correct. Name one that is questionable if you can.
