I have a book (looks like a photobook) with this word on the cover:

kündispaigadpõllumaaksi

Does anyone know what it means? It looks Finnish, but I could be wrong.

It's Estonian, don't know what it means though.
2007-09-24 22:29:35
It's Finnish. Should mean something like " Made the placed into fields(where you grow wheat etc)."

I hope You got my point :)
2007-09-24 22:30:44
Oops, I'm even wrong:D
2007-09-24 22:32:22
I dont know. It might be estonian to,if You say so. I have no point to argue with language expert at his point :D
You're the boss :P

That´s unpronouceable and unreadable to me. :P
2007-09-24 22:38:07
3 words in 1. Compact :d
2007-09-24 22:39:36
Lol, I do not know. I only entered the word in Google to see which language it was. Google did not find the word and I splitted it in multiple parts and all parts were found on Estonian domains (.ee).

There is a picture of a man (with a sword!) and horse looking like it is ploughing the field, so that would make sense. It is the most random thing I've ever seen on the front cover of a photo book though!

4 words:
hottentottententententoonstellingen
2007-09-24 22:43:37
Well. It could easily be estonian. Some fragment ore so.

Actually. It is estonian! . Oh. No more english for me. It ruins my estonians skill :D
2007-09-24 22:45:50
Hahaha, it happens to me too, sometimes I want to say a word in spanish but doesn´t come to my mind, but it does in english. ;)

The other thing that i hate is, that sometimes i use letters from russian alfabeth in my estonians writings. Thas so automatical, but that happens when You need to learn two totally different types of writing styles.

I'll take a photo of it tomorrow, someone might recognise it :).
