Can somebody help me with this scenario:

Scenario

A client has bought a new laptop computer.

The client wants you to get the laptop ready for their use. They want to use it at a client presentation off-site just to show a powerpoint presentation in one hours time.

Once they get back they are then okay about leaving the laptop with you for the day – as they can use their desktop PC.

You quickly look at what is loaded on the laptop and find:
· It has Windows XP already loaded but has a disk for upgrade of Service Pack
· It has Works loaded.
· There is no other software loaded

Activity:
a) Explain what steps you would take to provide them with the laptop for their presentation, and
b) any instructions you might give them about what not to do until the laptop is fully prepared by you; and.
c) List the other steps you would take to fully prepare the machine after it has been returned to you.

[Me Again:]What is Works and why won't it work with Windows XP. Do you have any ideas as to how someone fould fix this problem?[/Me Again:]

MS Works is a program which handles various tasks. I know it's on the office 97 cd, don't know about newer versions of office. I'm quite sure MS Works works with XP.

Oh! I see the question now!
What must be done to enable the user to perform their powerpoint presentation. The answer appears easy - but I'm sure that its not. I would say install Microsoft Office 2003 but maybe that will cause some confliction with Microsoft Works. What do you think?

Just install Microsoft Office or Open Office.

Here's a question about English. Is it very "wrong" if I write in a letter to somebody in UK class instead of form. e.g I wrote : Tenth class is much harder thatn the ninth. Is it totally incorrect in English spoken in England?

thatn = than:) And I think 'much more difficult' sounds better than 'much harder', but 'much harder' is not really wrong.
