Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...
look at newcastles fan mood at the moment ;)
im sure over the course of the next season a few fans will lose interest ;)
thats what happens here also when you end up playing against teams lesser than what you are as such...
iv just realised that this will probably slow the inflation rate ingame at the moment... hopefully anyway!

Your team is much better than his, stop making excuses ;)
Theoretically it seems it would be possible to win a league and end up with a low fan mood. In that situation, where you only faced teams who were relatively weak compared to you, and you only beat them by one goal in every game, I think it would be right and fair that they would be disappointed that you didn't win it in style. Also I think it would be right and fair that the weak teams who lost to you wouldn't have a negative reaction from their fans in losing to a much superior opponent.

Yes, he is saying that if you beat your opponents by only 2x1, and win your league but not crashing the other teams with difference ratings (51 vs 44 for example), you should have mood dropping till... hum... "your supporters are losing hope"... same as works in real life... NOT!

WTF? Newcastle have just been relegated what bearing does that have on this topic when we are talking about teams who are doing well but are deemed by some arbitrary game subroutine to have not done enough?
Let's instead take Man Utd seeing they have just won the EPL and pundits, players players awards, european player of the year selection boards etc, etc drool all over them. How did Man Utd get away with not beating Fulham? I mean we aren't even talking about winning but only just here we are talking about losing to a team that is worth less player value wise combined then Berbatov or Rooney or Ronaldo or Tevez etc etc. Was there fans holding protests outside Old Trafford or tearing season tickets up etc?
What about them drawing 1-1 with Newcastle or only beating Portsmouth 1-0 or only beating Hull 4-3 and 1-0? I mean how bad was that when Hull were supposed to be whipping boys and only just escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth?
Surely SAF should have been sacked and they should be having to drop their season ticket prices just to get some sort of fan base back.

Well the RL comparison is a bit unfair, since here in sokker a 5:0 win is a lot more common than in RL. So to make a "normal" match against a worse enemy means also to score more goals.
Also in RL it is a lot more common that worse teams draw or win against better teams (still everyone complains if happens here in sokker ;) )

The above post I just did should interest you with that logic too then.
What is this 'best team' even based on because as far as I am concerned there is no stat that reflects the true quality of a team really and what affect would negative tactics have on that?
I would be surprised if rankings were not agreed by almost everyone to mean very little at all. You seem fond of values and ratings but they don't always tell the whole story either. While I and probably most people would agree that my team was stronger then the team I played yesterday exactly how much stronger was it?
Have a look at these two player that are on the transfer list.............
Sile Gurău, age: 21
club: Domácí srny, country: România
value: 95 700 £, wage: 1 515 £
unsatisfactory form, average tactical discipline
bookings:
excellent stamina hopeless keeper
excellent pace outstanding defender
good technique adequate playmaker
hopeless passing unsatisfactory striker
Joey Tyson, age: 25
club: AP Bootleggers, country: USA
value: 220 500 £, wage: 2 385 £
outstanding form, very good tactical discipline
bookings:
solid stamina tragic keeper
excellent pace outstanding defender
formidable technique excellent playmaker
adequate passing weak striker
A defenders primary job is to tackle the opposition's attacking player so of course defending and pace should be the key skills to do that job and both these players have exactly the same levels for those skills so they should be just as affective as each other. However when we look at the values Tyson is worth 220k compared to Gurău at 95k and when we look at the ratings Tyson got a 47 while Gurău got a 26. Surely this shows that both ratings and value are not totally reliable in judging just how good one team is compared to another.
If I bought 9 players with Gurău's stats and played them with one top notch striker and a great gk in a park the bus formation against your great team would you beat me by the possible 10, 15, 20 or 25 goals that you would need to seeing that your players score massively higher ratings then a 26 and are worth so much more then 95k each?

Your argument has a lot of holes there, primarily when talking about those two players. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say in comparing the two but the reason the two of them get different ratings is mainly down to Gurau being in unsatisfactory form vs tyson in outstanding form. It's also a mistake to disregard the other skills besides pace and defending, especially when it comes to ratings.
So to answer your question if you did buy 9 of those players to play me I would thrash you with my team as they would all be in bad form and your team wouldn't be able to pass. The fact that your team would consist of so many low form low value players would more than likely mean that you would score quite low in any 'ranking' or 'rating' so your supported mood wouldn't drop and mine might if I didn't beat you by enough goals.

I am starting to think you are being deliberately obtuse but another post doesn't hurt I suppose.
Form does play a part and that in itself should point out how unreliable using ratings can be as a guide. I actually have two pretty similar defenders with form being the main difference in them and the player lacking form still completes his tackles well, if anything the lack of form makes him not hold the defensive line as well as he should.
The point was that while secondary skills are nice to have they cost a lot more to get and in the case of defenders their job is (at least in my team) to win tackles and break attacks up and even lower form defenders can do that well. With a decent secondary on pm they will get better ratings because they don't kick into touch as much but there is little difference in completed tackles.

ok, a 6-1 win and my fan mood drops by 2... This is getting ridiculous now
I won 5-1 against a team 2 divisions lower and the mood went up!
great system

busted! - getting thrashed 3-0 in the league was the reason

yes, some peope forget their results from sunday. Mood graphs base on data that are stored only once a week. So the visible change in the actuel graphs refers to last weeks situation and shows the outcome of 2 matches (sunday + wednesday).
