Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...
You are basically saying that if someone used to get 250k a week from sponsors while playing well last season, it is normal that he now gets 180k by playing the same way or even better.
You are also saying that there are only a couple of teams who are too strong for their leagues. Well, you probably don't know the success rate of lower division teams who try to promote every year to a higher league and get defeated by much stronger ones, do you? I wonder how many of these teams get "stuck" for many seasons in the same division.
You should have a look at the gap between a league and the level above. You probably think it's a piece of cake to get promoted through a qualifying game.
(Edit: after looking at your team history, I understand now why you think it is easy to promote: you are in Ireland's Premier Division since July 2006...)
Never mind. I give up keeping on explaining what seems obvious to everyone else...

Where are all these teams in lower divisions having problems with this? There were one or two that I remember and for people like Wenlock it was more the playoff loss drop was the problem. That's been fixed.
Also I'm trying to stick up for the guys trying to get promoted fella :) It's the teams that get 'stuck' in certain leagues that this change helps. These guys aren't the ones complaining, it's the teams at the very top of their countries leagues are. Show me an example of where this has gone badly for an up and coming team- and try not to make it one where somebody has only managed to beat a noob 1-0 and thinks it's unfair that his fans don't appreciate it. Fans in RL or this game aren't robots who will always be 'madly in love' with their team.

If you can read italian, you can find a lot of these 3rd, 4th & 5th division leaders (some of them relegated) who complain about dropping mood despite victories:

I have many more threads like these to show you if you want but more important: please look at who is complaining: these are not DIV1 or DIV2 users, they are mid-level users!

Alas my Italian and French is not quite up to translating that :) My experience with these complaints is limited to the ones here and I haven't seen any problems with lower league teams here.
because the higher the league, the more people use forum.
Never mind man, you are righ in all point. Devs can make a change, which cause insane income dropping, without even calculation, and warnings. I thought in a difficult (50k user+)system like this, implementing an idea with impact like this... Should take sy to at least a consideration. If I would be a dev, I would use an economist for this!

"The other big argument against this is that you now cannot have a B team for training as you'll lose (or only narrowly win) to a 3rd division team and lose fan mood so it's not worth having youth players. I think that is an incredibly blinkered view; easy solutions are to only play friendlies against teams who also have a B team or to have a better all round squad to deal with these games. As for cup games in this situation it's just as easy, manage your team better.
@Wenlock - I think you may have a point there on my helping this thread to continue :) I just think it would be a bad thing for the game to have to cave in to appease the elite players in each country."
Wow now that is blinkered :D
Friendlies are training games and no one takes them seriously even Greg apparently said that too yet when someone posts about being affected by one you tell us all to be more selective who we play in those games to avoid that problem.
Erm........
1) Can you please tell us EXACTLY what criteria is used to decide if we have done enough in a game to not be punished?
2) Even when knowing that not all of us will have the time to sort through possible opposition to work out if we can afford to risk a result with them.
3) Will we be given more match orders options because if we need to win by 15 goals the current match orders only have a if winning by 4 goals option for subs, can we have the option to select a new more attacking then attacking like crazy option too just incase?
4) I am not multi-lingual or even bi-lingual, FFS I don't always speak good English quite often hahaha. How am I supposed to arrange to play only reserves or under 21's or whatever with a foreign team?
5) What punishment is there ingame for when someone 'accidently' forgets to play their youngsters and I lose out because of a fan mood drop?
6) How will small teams benefit and grow when they miss out on extra income from playing a bigger team when the bigger teams start to avoid them?
As regards this topic outside friendlies I am not an elite team in Engalnd my friend, not even close yet it affects me. The team that punched above his weight and got promotion into my league also obviously isn't elite but has been apparently severely affected from losing to teams that are better then him. how does that work I wonder when he was supposed to be the sort that benefitted from the change.
In a nut shell we are playing a game that is supposed to mirror football yet doesn't and is heavily dependant on an economy that can be dropped through the floor by a game change that is not explained, silly to say the least.

your arguement for justifying supporter mood loss on a win was "it only happens to a small number of people"
pretty weak
pretty weak
I've read all this thread and followed it closely. As one of few relatively new teams to break in to England's Series II, my supporter's mood has hardly been great. I've lost 3 and won 2 but my supporter mood rose just 1 place after a 3-2 win over a very established II side with much better players, slightly better rank etc etc.
I am certain from past experiences from promoting to Series fairly early and with a weak team that my supporter mood would be better than this before the change. I think my supporter's should be in the top 2 moods with the win i just had, whether it stays there is another question.

I've not read all this thread but several french players who's got plus option, think to stop their option if developpers don't worry more about this.
from my own experience (league 4), I lose 3 first matches(due to bad tactical scheme) my supporter's mood failed from level 7 to 2 even if I won matche's cup. In couple of week, I won the last 2 matches and my supporter's mood stay at level 2 even if I got 3 places in championship.
That's just freak me out to see my supporters don't happy when I win :(

My supporters are the opposite: they keep being happy ( 5 ). I play with my B-team, I lose with 6-0, and my supporters' mood doesn't drop a single level. I'm happy about it, but I can imagine how frustrating it must be, when they're never happy.
I am still wondering why we are still waiting a statement from the dev about our feedbacks, saying that the new system is unfair and is destroying economically some teams which were performing well though ..
They don't care at all or what ?
They don't care at all or what ?
I am in league 4 and I lost in friendly against a league 3 score 0-6
My supporters go to "are losing hope" in "are furious".
2 official matches of lost since the beginning of the season on 8. (against league 4 and league 2)
5 victories I am at least. (4 league 4 and 1 league 5)
At least 150K€ of loss per 2 weeks. Very very hard.
The minimum when we make a reform having a so big influence on teams medium-low, by respect for the players, it is to warn well in advance.
It does not encourage to subscribe while this game please me and while it is necessary to prepare the matches in best

And it is not the 1st message which I post on it ^^

i did a newbie a favour (presumably, since he asked for a match at my stadium) and won 3-1, and supporter levels proceed to drop a level. and no, i'm pretty sure it wasn't from drawing in the league, i checked and there was no change after that game.
everything's been going downhill since my cup exit. they're making it way to hard to gain back supporter levels, they dont even care if you're tied first in a div II league! >:(

i completely agree. with the magnitude of complaints all season and the countless horror stories and people constantly threatening to stop buying plus you would think we would get at least some feedback. it is very disappointing

Those are the first weeks now, so just wait for it. Maybe, within a season, the whole thing normalizes itself and the "maybe"-aim - stopping bigger teams making the gap bigger - is reached. I think it´s obvious that it´s not perfect now, but maybe it just needs a time period to control the whole system.
But even if my supporters would be in that mood, I wouldn't have such a deficit in my finances.
