Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...

2009-06-17 20:42:28
man the curent engine needs to be edited ... there is too much difference between losing and winning mood (drop and grow) ...

I'm happy your back shaneteam :] in the middle of all this whining u keep pointing out convincing arguments...

explain it again to them, please ,)
Nice to read anyway, good thoughts, good explanations.

there is a solution though:

- a tendency towards a average level of happiness..

Make it harder to get to the top levels (make it go down naturally towards a certain level) but also make it more easy to rise when in the lower levels (make it go up naturally towards that certain level). With the middle tendency being in ratio with the current position in the ranking of the leauge, and the cup run the team has produced, in order with the pre-season expectations. (last years position in the leauge, cup run)

Funny that only teams who won all their matches think it's going well.
Strong and old teams facing competition are having the problems.

It is not whining, it is a serious problem.
There is a certain group of users having serious problems.
Users that have been very successful in the past and have dominated.
The fans now require this domination but afterall you get nothing in return.
If you would have some sort of benefit for being 4 time champion (more sponsor money) so it is a fair system.
The way it currently is, is that I'm forced to win everything but don't get anything in return.

Champions like real madrid have much more money from their sponsors than the other teams so it is of course right that they require and want a domination.
Loops Unlimited got 10k Euro more than 5th place team from last season (who was never champion) to now have 50k less than everyone else?

The fan mood system would be nice and right if the impact was on stadium attendance only and the success in one season has impact on the sponsor income from next season (which does not change over the season).
The way how it is now is a joke.

+1 Dosphorus, that sounds smart.

I've won, lost, drawn - I think my mood is going as it should
2009-06-17 22:35:41
i'll make a new topic.. should be more clear

well the fans would not let a 4 time champion get away without a title, every season, till they got used to not winning the title. We are never happy with what we are used to... and if its gone we are unhappy anyway.

Of course its a change, I get that it hurts as it seems drastic. But there is a lot of reasoning power in this thread above, a pleasure to read and leading the way.
I'm sure it will never feel right for everybody... how could it? People only like it if they can benefit immediately - which can't be the way how to play. In the long run this will force u to fight again, 4 time champ, and this is what u like about this game...!

This is a really bad joke. It just gets more and more ridiculous. This game is absolutely destroying itself, such a bloody shame.

Its become increasing apparent that if your a 'good' team whether thats ranking or league position or whatever the hidden factors are. You have to win every game or your screwed.

Last 2 friendlies hightlight something more. Last week a 1-1 draw against So long, thanks for all the fish, ranking 4149.67 produces a drop in level. This week an 8-0 win against Go Ahead GlenEagles , rank approx 3300. No mood change!

Im now not angry about it, Im laughing at it. Thats worse. This game is still a brilliant game, but this part of it is so badly wrong Im amazed it got through testing as is considered ok and fair, quite remarkable.

Starting to wonder if a) its resonably possible to recover a fallen fan mood when your a 'good' team and now b) If I can be bothered to be a around long enough to find out.

That's not true.
I'm not a guy who is unhappy about changes.

All I'm trying to say is:
Either you base the teams income on the quality, strength and success of a team as well or this system is unfair and wrong.
You cannot base the fan mood on this parametres and make it easier for weaker teams and give nothing to the successful ones unless they crush over everyone (which just is not realistic).

/edit
@dandy
Same situation here.
There seams to be a certain parametre in our calculation that always points to outch town but never up.

Totally agree with you. Ive lost 2 games in a raw but im first in my country by ratio, and my fan mood has a level as i was losing all games.since i play sk fans hadnt such mood level.

I agree with helping out the teams on the way up, however some of them are struggling with this new system aswell, rtg is a very good example of this.

But lets not kill off the teams at the top in the process, they had to work hard to get where they are, didn't just happen over night.

Took me 8 seasons to get to the top 2 in Scotland which is one of the smaller sokker Countries.

[i]base the teams income on the quality, strength and success of a team[/]

which would make them even more successful, and therefore out of reach, untouchable.

...I know that there is kind of an upper limit, where top teams dont make forward this fast anymore, but still I prefer when top teams struggle more as soon as they try to have a rest.

which would make them even more successful, and therefore out of reach, untouchable.
Why? My fan mood and income would go to a level equally to the other teams when I'm not successful enough (not winning all matches). So it is regulated to a point that is fair for everyone.

teams struggle more as soon as they try to have a rest.

What do you call a rest?
You call it a rest when a team does not destroy all the opponents (who have about the same team strength but haven't been that successful in the past) but is 2nd or 3rd placed?
Look at the teams in my league, they are equally strong, just haven't been that successful and now they even get system help?
