Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...
even after some tests there might be more things to find out when a change is implemented for the total of the sokker users.
and I say as a user and not as a mod - my supporters mood dropped also a bit after my 4:1 cup win, but I know that on the other hand the mood of my opponents supporters should have climbed, and I don't begrudge him that positive effect. And you can't separate the positive and the negative side of these changes.

Lol, i really don't understand you guys. Do you seriously expect the fans mood to be maxed out all the time? That is simply NOT realistic.
There is nothing wrong with a slight drop, as long as it does not make supporters leave (so drops to a min level of 4-5)

WOW screw this change, minus supporter mood for a cup win. seriously? horrrrrrible, PLEASE change. im ok with it not rising if i beat a crappy team, but dropping?
If this was the case i would honestly like the option NOT to enter the cup because i usually dont try anyway, and now it will hurt my mood even more every season
if supporters are now 'smart' enough to know when a victory should be lopsided, they should be smart enough to realize i am playing my entire b squad

having to win by 10 goals is not realistic at all
and a top flight team ever having to face a u16 girls team where that result would actually be expected isnt realistic either

why not realistic?
Germany wona friendly match vs a team from 3rd or 4th divsion from germany with 8-0 ;)
P.S. i won 12 and my fans mood got +1 level... its kind unrealstic tis :) seasons ago when i even won with lower score i had my mood go more levels...

as mentioned, there are teams, which won ~11:0 and still had a drop
Again: look at general results in cup. in first round of cup there were 16 teams that won by 20 or more goals, 78 of the 128 matches shown were won by 10 or more goals (Switzerland results). Of course what the fans want has to be adapted to the results in sokker and not the ones in rl.
So again: if the average team does win their first round in cup with 15 goals and one team does not do that, then in comparison with other results, this result has been bad. If this team is a toplevel team like the one affected (probably best one in AUT and only wins 11:0 against a very weak opponent), then a drop is not surprising.

So basically this system forces us to smash the newbies in the first cup rounds, right? How many of them will still play sokker after being smashed like 35:0?

no, it forces us to think about our preferences - supporters mood vs. training for example.
But greg usually doesn't like results like 25:0 or 35:0, so your argument looks quite good to convince him to change the change again, at least a little bit. I will quote it in our mod-forum discussion.

It is nothing new that a new team will lose against toplevel teams with 20 and more goals if both teams have their first team. And I guess it is not easy to regulate when divine players play against weak ones :) As long as they have a chance in league I would say this does not lead for new users to leave. Cup is just 1-2 games a season and they know they play against teams from higher leagues.
the system wants from you, that you beat the newbies in first round of cup the same way everyone else does. If you are highly better and do not win by many goals, then the newbies will get a bonus on their supporter mood. So this change is positive for new users and not negative.
So what exactly are you suggesting? That we do not let newbies play at all in cup because they could be smashed? :)

most top team play only in the first cup round with their first teams, but you're right, the problem was already the same, it just has become a bit more obvious now.

For me that better teams win with 20 goals or more has nothing to do with this changes right now. This is something that did happen every season.
If you want to change this effect, you would have to make engine in a way that your players stop giving effort in playing after you lead 10:0 or something. But that would be horrible to watch as well.
But yes, more obvious now.

Let's make just 1 change for start.
No droping of mood when the team has won a match. This should do it.

I think the new system works very nice when you loose but not when you win
