Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...
end of the season, I finished 1st => fan mood 7
I lost my play off => fan mood 0 ( wtf ? )
I won my first cup game 0-18 => fan mood 0
I won my first league game 1-4 => fan mood 2
I won my 2nd cup game 1-4 => fan mood 1
It is a joke, right ?

I thought I had it bad dropping 5 levels after the playoff against a team just as good if not better then mine wow, like you I have won all games since but am only 1 level back up which is crappy.

This can be solved easily.
There needs to be a minimum score expected, no now matter how big a team is v how small a team is. Ranking 60,000 v ranking 1 or Rating 100 v Rating 1. Whatever the criteria of team size is. It needs to be a realistic score. The score is 5-0, the same as a default win score."
Something in there that hasn't been picked up on that I have seen so I will do it. What will happen if a big team wins by default? If they win by default they never had a chance of trying to score 30 goals so will their fan mood suffer? If the fan mood doesn't suffer then why would the fans be happy with a 5-0 default but not a 5-0 normal? By the way I agree about a minimum with you Dandy, my questions are more to do with a possible problem with the default win in general and are pointed at the devs.
What are these big v small judgement calls even based on, surely it has to be the players involved in the match and not the squad values or rankings or else it stops people from developing trainees.

So basically this system forces us to smash the newbies in the first cup rounds, right?
exactly, it really does encourage better teams to beat the crap out of bad teams.
edit: RIDICULOUS

agreed!
But we need to know what the devs think about our questions? Did anyone show this threat to greg or any other dev?
I'm anxious to hear what is in their mind! =D

i won my firts league game 1-0 against a more rated am trhan mine
1 won my second cupo game 5-0
this is my supporters mood very funny

Actually I think there should be a own topic for that, because you are right. I just hope they did think of that :)
Well maybe it would be enough to let teams make less goals in matches. Then teams really would only need 5:0 to make their fans happy, if the average in first cup round would be 5:0. But I am sure the feedback would be even worse... because that also means, that there will be more teams that lose their match although they had more shots on goal and things like that. But it would definately be more realistic than now, where 10:0 is a bad result, because average in first round of cup is about 15:0 victory.

I won by 2x0, playing with my B-team, most of my players are U18, and the mood still dropped... it doesn´t make sense!
I think that NEVER is right droping of mood when the team has won a match. NEVER! No matter if you win with 01 ore 20 goals... it´s not realistic win and have a droping of mood.
First change really should be no droping of mood when the team has won a match.

plus teh fact is you played b team as you knew they could win anyway... same in real life.. man utd played reserves vs everton in the fa cup... arsenal play a complete reserve team against all opponents in cups...
all top teams do it.. its considered training at this stage... not expected to be a rout like
also i believe that a stop was put in the game to stop the cricket scores, so it doesnt make sense to have that in it if mood is going to be like this
its is much more difficult to get 4goals than 3... teams abilities fade the more they score, so i dont see why we have to have this crap now... 50-0 expected for mood not to be affected
makes no sense to drop taht much mood like...

the problem i see is that a 'cricket score' here in sokker is of the same probabilty as a fairly comfortable victory in RL - i.e, a 12-0 win is about as commonplace as a 3-0, a 4-0 or even in some cases, a 3-3 draw - the problem lies in the ability of players, i.e. it is very unlikely that a team would get 30 shots at goal in a game in RL, let alone 12 of them going in. the problem is that the match engine is not capable (at present) of truly imitating a real life game - a 'good' striker in this game couldn't hit a barn door with a nuclear bomb (maybe its just my strikers?!)
the match engine is what needs to be altered if you want to stamp out the 12-0 victories, etc
in real life, 11 men vs 11 men means that there is unlikely to be a huge difference in the physical parameters - a good striker in real life wouldnt miss so many opportunities to score, he'd at least get them on target (you'd hope).
another problem is the fact that the 'mood' system is too rigid - as a united supporter i can use the following example:
Man utd vs, lets say, torquay united in a cup game.
you would expect united to win comfortably, maybe 3 or 4 nil (maybe even 5), but if a 2-0 happens, the supporters would be sad about not scoring more, but not really that bothered - they won the game, after all. but say, if a premiership team lost to their bitter rivals, or for the purposes of sokker, were relegated, the fans would be gutted. but if the team lost a playoff match, they would usually be disappointed with the result (heartbroken) but also relieved to some extent that they werent fighting for survival in the relegation zone.
in other words - its a different kind of upset when a team does not perform as well as expected, to when they are not promoted, to when they are relegated, in my opinion. either that, or there needs to be a few more levels OR categories of mood - i.e - instead of the current 6 (i think) levels, maybe add a few more? or like FM:
Criteria Mood
Transfers
results
Form
Media
Economy
youth
(or something) which would be difficult to implement and would really change sokker

granted. but then you have to add more levels to the current system - therefore the drop is not so large
true too... another way of resolving the problem from my point would be to remove the dependance on fan mood - as is currently the way... would only affect it slightly as your ranking points are going to go down, which has a minor effect compared to fan mood (approx 1/20th max income per level i think)
anyways... the current system is only going to be tweaked rather than changed (announcement has been made... makes no sense to admit you're wrong ;))
i suggest when you win.. no mood lost.. when lose... keep current system

if supporters are now 'smart' enough to know when a victory should be lopsided, they should be smart enough to realize i am playing my entire b squad.
Totally agree. That's what I think. Supporters are people that know what's your A team, or at least should know it. And they should know either that you don't need to put your best players in the first rounds of cup to win the games (in despite of the result), because you have to beat much stronger teams on the league.
