Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...

2009-05-16 20:19:10
there is not a chance in hell that the supporter mood will take into account that you played your B team - nor should it

That's why this change is ridiculous : it is supposed to be more complex and "realistic" but the model behind this is not complex enough to do the job correctly. At the end, this is even less realistic than before.

But ok, let's crush newb teams 23-0 to maintain fan moods, and see them leave the game because of stupid Sokker scores...

greg said in linguist forum:

will be little tuned since this sunday, so next Wednesday should be less problems. But don't expect revolution - when teams score too little with poor rival they [the supporters] will be disappointed.

So, wtf is "score too little"? 4, 12 is too litlle?

Say goodbye sonner to national cup became a good tactic if you're training pace, for example... A big defeat is much better than various small victories!

Play friendlies with lower team isn't a good choise.

Play friendlies is a good idea?

The mood irl is much more solid than actual in sokker. Need 2 or 3 defeats in a row to fall after a huge number of victories and need 2 or 3 victories in a row to make them happy again after a huge number of defeats.

The devs could use the asi of first 11 and the ranking to tuned the system, for example...

Remember and learn: the economy stuff kill the oHTher...

As long as the current Engine is full of randomness, we cannot have a mood system in place that requires high wins.

Watch my todays league match for instance.
My striker is superdivine striker, divine pace and unearthly technique.
Missed 10 100% close distance chances.
My defender runs with the ball 7 metres into my own goal.
The opponents much weaker striker shots 2 times and scored both.

Cosy Tigers Loops Unlimited
4-2-4 Tactics Normal_Wing
41% Possession 59%
68% Play in the half 32%
7 Shots 21

3:3 end result and I was even lucky to have that point.
I'm more and more &%&%&$ of sokker.

After 3 wins (17-0, 8-0 and 2-1) and a draw (vs. a strong team) the supporters are furious and today 15 of them left me.

Very realistic indeed.

Won 3-1. My rating is 4100 approx, they were 3900. Teams are fairly evenly balanced. Supporters mood didn't improve. What more can you do? This team could easily have won against me. Which I guess would have damaged the mood even more. Its possible I could be top of the league with depressed fans soon.

3-0 cup v weak opponent - mood drops 2 levels
4-4 (against best team in the league with higher rating) - mood stays (you'd expect an increase under new system?)
3-0 cup - mood drops 1 level
3-1 (against even opponent) - mood stays (you'd expect an increase under new system?)

Seems to me the mood is quick to drop, but you can't do anything to improve it? Wish I hadn't improved my stadium I wont have fans to fill it!

I lost my qualifier and got demoted, supporter mood dropped from madly in love to furious. Fair enough, even though I was only 1 point behind the winner of the league and the qualifier was a fluke.

This season, I've won my league matches 4-0 and 8-0 and cup matches 9-0 and 2-0, but the supporter mood seems locked at furious and I've lost 100 supporters so far.

I believe we need more than a minor tweak, because the balance is obviously way off. The concept isn't bad, but the poor balance makes it counter productive. The established teams are annoyed because of the negative effects. New teams will be be equally suffering because the established teams will have to field stronger teams in the cup and friendlies resulting in demotivating scores for thwe new managers. It will also mean that established teams will be reluctant to play friendlies against new teams.

Ouch, you in the nightmare scenario. Loose a play off and its a mountain to climb to get the fans in a good mood. I think thats more fair for a team on the way down than a team loosing a play off to go up. Harsh on them.

I think you will get through it (fans will improve mood) as you will be winning most or all your games by quite a bit in your new division.

Its fair that a team going down would loose some ficcle fans. But they'll come running back if you romp the league.

same here. unlucky lose in relegation => fan mood to minimum
since then, all matches won and only one level up in fan mood after all.
yesterday i even lost one level although i won the league game against last years 3rd of the league. it was a close win, so it were fine if the mood does not increase, but dropping?
the small adjustments mauser mentioned were obviously not enough :o(

actually all teams of the league are worse than mine. so, will i have no chance to recover this season? is crushing everyone with the a-team in cup and league the only way?

in my opinion there should be some tendency to the average mood. if the supporters are in a bad mood, it should be "quite easy" to increace it to average. if the supporters are top, it should be difficult to keep them there. in this case i could live with a down after a close win, but not if the mood is already close to minimum.

Won Cup Round 0
Lost League game against Champions
Won Cup Round 1
Won League game against 4th

And this adds up to -2 levels for me.

Maybe the change to the game was a good idea, but it should have been implemented differently.

Now all the above mentioned teams are losing supporters even after a good win. That is due to the rankingsystem. Now I think that is where the problem is. The rankingsystem is quite silly. Seems that winning all matches in second league does rank you higher than most teams (stronger teams) in the first league.
Last season I lost just 1 match and therfor I am rankied way above my status. Now I am losing 15 supporters weekly......that is twice the amount I gained last season weekly.

The ranking system should have been fixed before the new supporterrule was implemented. I am affraid to have hundreds of supporters less at the end of this season.

exactly same as Polarbear...
I won all my matches but the playoff, and my fans stay angry and I am losing dozen of fans ...

This change is completely screwing this great game, too bad :(
