Subject: Supporters Mood Dropping...

2009-05-23 12:51:45
Don't say it to me. I played 8 season in the 1st division and I just get maximum in the first few weeks and in the last season's 2nd part for some weeks. But after a lose I always lose supporter mood.

Why don't you go design your own game Locke if you feel this Pokska orientated game doesn't suit your sensibilities. Of course your game would just be about diving, cheating, crying and time wasting; much better adapted to Portuguese players ^^

To get back to the point I am aware of the drops after beating smaller teams in the cup, it's happened to me as well. I'm taking a wait and see approach on that but as somebody else has said the balancing side of this where the smaller teams aren't plummeting in fan mood after gallantly losing in the cup is something that was needed. I think it's premature for people to suggest this new system is messed up, I'm sure there is a bit of leveling off going on for some teams which should resolve itself as the season goes on.

Won 5-4 which makes 5 wins and 1 draw from my last 6 games but there must be something in the pies because the fan mood dropped a level.

You average nearly 10% batter than him in ratings, tonight it was 51 vs 44. Your ranking is 3835, his is 2354. Your players are worth 8 million and his are worth 5 million.

By any measure you should be thrashing him, not just winning by an odd goal. Why shouldn't your fans be unhappy with that result?

Yeah, why should they be happy with a victory? why should they be happy if he is 2th on his league? It´s really fair have a drop on the mood with a victory...

Average individual marks this week:
53.0 Wenlock Warriors
52.3 Kalocsa FC Hungary
50.1 Old Evertonians
44.2 Beer Is Not An Excuse
41.1 Videoton
40.2 CROWS FC
38.9 niners fc
34.2 almighty warriors

Yes it is fair if the team should be doing better. That's how it works in the real world as well.

Sorry but why fans should be unhappy because of a win ? even close ?

Ok to say that the mood should not raise if opponent is crap, but there is no reason to drop it...
That's nonsense.

Ranking? What does that prove?

We got the double whammy of dropping 5 levels on fan mood because these changes were not brought in retrospectively for the playoffs just gone and it's stupidly hard to climb back up again while others have started at their old unaffected levels.

How is it a bad thing to the extent of fans leaving the club for a club to be unbeaten and towards the top of their league?

You are right, I see this happenning everytime in the real world... Real Madrid winning Numancia for 1x0 and the supporters being very unhappy, leaving their team... same here in Brazil, Flamengo winning Santo André by 2x1 and the supporters being furious. Yeah, that´s how works in real life.

I already said, I don´t see any problem if the mood do not rise if a better team beat a worse team. But it´s stupid think that even with a victory you have a drop mood. That´s not how it happens in the real world, mate.

By the way those are squad values that you listed and not the players that played the game, values can also be decieving because defenders are generally lower value then attackers for starters and he played a very defensive line up.

I actually think he did a really good job but a win should not drop fan mood and my ratings being 10% higher then his is not a huge gulf, that's even before we get into the unbeaten run and near the top of the league stuff.

Ok

First squad average value

543 809 € Wenlock Warriors

352 287 € Beer Is Not An Excuse

In a game where you rated 51 and he rated 44 it's a huge gulf and you should have won by at least 3 clear goals. You didn't so your supporters are unhappy.

I'm not disagreeing with you that the drop you had after the play off was a bit harsh. Your ranking was much better than him but he has a much better squad. All I'm saying is that your result this weekend wasn't the greatest so I can see why the fans didn't react well to it.

Too bad the devs have no access to this forum.

julius is here reasonably often.. im sure he's uninterested in the unfounded views held by many here though

and its way more than rankings that influence it IMO..its crazy i been on furious and losing hope now even though i beat a team well above me in ratings and ranking 2-0...

im very cunfuzzled.. as shaneteam said.. let it pan out and see what happens.. all comes to all, its a 20% loss to sponsor income every week... if you're a big club love with it.. if your a small club, well the new system probably benefits you :P
2009-05-25 15:08:19
You do know that on the whole defensive players have lower values and get lower ratings don't you?

Putting that aside you are saying that it would be right, fair and ok for me to theoretically win my league and go all season unbeaten but drop to the bottom fan mood?
2009-05-25 15:17:51
look at newcastles fan mood at the moment ;)
im sure over the course of the next season a few fans will lose interest ;)

thats what happens here also when you end up playing against teams lesser than what you are as such...

iv just realised that this will probably slow the inflation rate ingame at the moment... hopefully anyway!
