Subject: [bug] Off side

I had a player wrongly ruled off side yesterday.

In the 53rd minute my offensive midielder tries to make a pass to one of the forwards who was off side. However the pass is bad and reaches one of the opponents defenders, who plays the ball backwards in the direction off his own goalkeeper. This pass is straight to my forward and then he is ruled off side.

That is wrong. You can't be off side when the pass is from the oponents.

i think its because theyre player hasnt controlled the ball, more bounced off him and therefore not classed as him passing the ball, but the ball taing a defelction so to speak off the defender

[edit]imagine playing a straight ball over someones head and it just clipping the defenders head, he wouldnt try to stop the ball if the striker wasnt there. is a better example

exactly thats how it should be.
however, I had a pass that bounced from my defender right infront of the striker that was actually 3 meter offside when the pass was played.
it should have been offside, but was not.

You are probably right. But the defender totally changed the direction off the ball. It would never have reached my forward if the defender had not touched and therefore I think it is wrong.
It might not be a bug though.
