Subject: [IDEA] Up to 22 level in skills

The current system is set so that noone can truly specialize players.... With defenders there are way too many 2xdivine, all top class strikers almost look the same...
With up to 22 or 21 or something like this in skills we would have more choices in how to build player.... would you rather have a 19 in pace and 16 in def or the other way around.... would you rather have a aaron lennon on the wing (21 speed) or an messi (21 tech).... and suddenly there would be difference when strikers reach toplevel, some would be extraordinare as too now where almost all top 40 NT have 3xdivine....
the current system is too low according to how fast some players train + you cant specialize on toplevel players...
I would say each level extra would take as if it was divine to super divine.. :)
Like??

The idea isnt bad, because it would make the competition on top levels more interesting and gives more options etc. (Just like you wrote:))
But if we add some extra skills, then maybe we should change the age when players start to loosing skills and maybe even add players birthdays. What do you think?

but how many defenders are 5x divine? Because after all, thats still the ideal defender :)
So theres still the choice to go for balanced sideskills or only pm and tech or pm and passing or ... on high level :)
Same for strikers who are 6x divine ideally :)
Imo its good the way it is

What about NTs who hardly have one single 3*divine player, not even speaking of all those who don't have 2*divine players yet... ? I guess it would be harder for them to compete with top NTs.
A better system would be to reduce the number of levels and slow down training. 18 is too many for most noobs to take in.
Slow down training will have a bigger effect on the young players, and top teams who have top players will get more out of it.
But as said, it will be harder for smaller countries to compete... yes that is the downside, but face it, if your facing a country with 3 strikers with 3xdivine and you dont have a 2xdivine yet, you will lose anyways...
But everyone must agree on that a toplevel wing, striker and defence look a lot the same. Yes some has better sideskills then others, but im talking about having unreachable top levels in all main skills, that would be a bigger step for different players.. :)

think of it this way.... how realistic is it that the best finisher is equally as good a finisher as hundred others.... the best dribler is equally as good a dribler as hundreds others... the best tackler tackles as good as several hundred others... only form which is random to determine who is best... :S
I like this idea. Things would go much more interesting, but how would you imagine the skill changes? Would all players get slower and less technical at start? I mean that at the moment top players are very fast anyway. So extra skills would make them even faster, so the only opportunity to keep this game normal, is decrease the change after each skill, what would mean that top players wouldn't be so top players anymore (as it happens to everybody, it wouldn't maybe be avery bad thing, but the match viewer would suffer, as strikers who were bests in the word couldn't shoot even as good as now).
Hope that everybody got my point.

yeah, I imagine it or will really make the match quality way lower that already is, or we gonna see some alien players, with 22 in pace running from one goal to the other in 5 seconds, or a striker scoring goals from its own field.
I myself believe the game should give more value to complete players than the extreme ones, and of course value more the tactics, as nowadays the top level is a rugby of super divine players, not soccer.

Changing the "specialized" to "general" training system is a better way in my opinion.
With your idea you will see too many 2x21 defender ;-)

stupid idea, because you need defenders with double 22 to stop worldclass attackers. this means that defenders will have a lot less other skills, which makes the game awfull to watch and more unrealistic as well!
It's an interesting idea, but I would only find it interesting for certain skills.
As said, for Defenders there are only 2 main skills, for Strikers only 3, and for Midfielders there are 4. It's easy to see how the Midfield will show the most difference between top teams.
So you could create extra levels for Striking and Defending, or you could slow those two down in training.
The first option may be better and more fun for experienced managers, but the last option would be much easier to implement.
