Subject: [IDEA] Loaning - A great way to do it

2011-09-01 17:02:14
KwaZulu [del] to All
I have always being against this idea as it is easy to cheat IMO, but I have a great idea of how we can do this fairly

Conditions to loaning players:

- Only one player to be loand per team at any one time

- The loaned player must have a value lower than at least one of the players in the loaning team (so will potentially be their second best player)

- Loan contracts are per season

- Loaned player has to play at least once a week, or he will instantly return to his original team (optional)

- If loaning team goes bankrupt / banned or leaves sokker for some reason, player returns to his original team

the only fair way and interesting way to integrate loan is with a bidding system...
You have a player but this season you dont need him ? Put him on loaning list ... With a bidding system , like the transferlist, the highest bid get the player for 16 weeks.

Both team are happy : first one get money without selling any player, and 2nd one can improve their team for a season for some money.

You can limit the number of player loaned by a team to avoid top team becoming loaning companies :p

great idea love it

The only reason why I didn't add a bidding system is because I don't think its of huge benefit to the lower teams.

Whereas it will improve their chances of promotion, it isn't buliding on their team permanently. I think limiting each team to one player is enough to stop them from taking advantage of it

that true i am rank like like 16th in my my country and i don't like to spend a lot on players i just like to train them

having a bidding system is absoluty mandatory to have legit loans... otherwise your best friend in top league can help you directly for example... without bidding, this is open door for abuse or cheating.
And without gaining ( even a small ) amount of money by loaning player, there is absolutely no interest to do it.

thats not the correct concept of loaning for example i have a good young player but i don't have enough place in my squad for him so i send him to a tean for just 1 season were i know he will get game time which would help in his development to make him a better player for example Danny wellbeck for manchester united

and why a team would train this player for you and lost one training slot ? and how to be sure that the team will effectively train your player as you want ( or even at all ? ) ...
Sorry but the only realistic loan would concern already mature players and not young trainee which would not bring anything to the receiver team.

I hate loaning but this really sounds interesting...

I don't like any loaning systems at all. Transfer list working very well.
2011-09-02 08:58:21
Common please would you finally give up on this too many times recycled idea. This doesn't make sense at all within the current trading possibilities. We already have an absurdly high fluctuation of players between clubs. You can already have a totally new lineup every single week. Why on earth would we need loan option as well? Buy a player and sell him in 2 weeks and that's that.
2011-09-02 10:23:45
why "absurdly high" ? it's a game, and without a very activ transfer market, this game would be really boring. Adding a loan system like I proposed would add some gameplay possibilities and thats all : You can improve your team short term with limited money, and you can gain some money by loaning players if you dont need them at the moment but want to have them in the future, or simply if you need money...

You are right, loan have been proposed dozen of times but in 99 % of the cases idea was not enough thought so rejected, and now people are rejecting by default loan idea without taking the time to read and think about the proposed idea.

what is sure is that it will be never implemented in Sokker ( or maybe in 2028 ), not because the idea is bad, but because developpers are in Bahamas spending "Plus" money.

OK, so you agree that we already have a very active transfer market. Then why do we need also loans? If you need a player, you can easily buy one any time. Also, if you have one that you don't need, why would you want to loan him and not sell. You can buy back a similar one any time. Loan option is simply completely unnecessary here.
2011-09-02 11:47:48
you can easily buy one => if you have the money, for sure, but if you don't ? A triple divine striker would cost you 8M to buy, but you can imagine that highest bid to loan it for a season would be around 1M or 1M5... ( or any price that the market would decide ). Of course if you have the 8M, it's far better to buy the player and not loan him... By loaning him instead of buying him, you are losing more money for sure. ( with a buy, you can expect to sell him at least at the same price )

Imagine that you are training some players and you know that you will sell some of them next season, and with that money you will buy new players to get a stronger team. OK, this will happen next season, but for this season, you anticipate that it will be very hard to not be relegated and you are short in money, so it can be worthfull to have 1 or 2 good loaned players...
On the contrary, I am very confortable this season in my league, and it would make sense to loan some of my players as they are not 100 % usefull right now, but I strongly expect they will be next season.

If it is completely uncessary, nobody would use it but I am pretty sure it would be very popular. By the way price of the loan would be function of the interest of the loan itself with the bid system, and there will be obviously a market price where the loan make sense.
What would be needed it to limit the number of player loaned or available for loan per team, to avoid loaning companies ...

Why would anyone want to loan a triple divine striker? Why should not keep it itself?

If you don't have money enough for superstriker why would you buy an older and cheaper striker?

Why would anyone want to loan a triple divine striker? Why should not keep it itself?

main interest is to gain some money ( when you think you can still perform well without him or if you don't care about your final ranking )

If you don't have money enough for superstriker why would you buy an older and cheaper striker?

That's right, loan would be in concurrence with hiring old players, because this would be close in term of approach... But this is why bidding is important, there would be a price for loan player and a price for old player, and you can expect that market price for loan would be lower.
