Subject: [IDEA] Change training system.

2012-09-28 14:42:06
People should take into consideration that the current system benefits for the older players compared to this idea, since you have spots which dont give effective training you can have them there. This would do so you are much more capable of making a young team and improving long term. But it would also give extra possibilities of screwing up results for several seasons to become stronger on only dealing with youthsters...... and i dont like that part, i would actually like a bigger need for making results for all teams.

But i would also like some moderation so you cant only train tackling or passing etc.... maybe make it possible to have a trainer for each chain that can train up to some numbers of players, that way you could save money by having an cheap GK trainer cause your GK is old ie.
Another way around could do so it was so expensive that teams still would have to choose wheither or not to train their 4 28 yo´s def or buy a cheap coach that keeps their skills high..... :)

This is not a good idea guys, Im sorry. I understand what you are trying to do, but there are flaws that you dont foresee.

For example: A team buys two players to help its team be better for the Champions Cup. They both get injured within 2 weeks... he might have to sell one if not both, knowing he will lose some money due to them being injured. But he needs to have at least 1 if not 2 other players that can play asap.

If he is not allowed to sell for 7 weeks, that team is stuck with 2 injured players and cannot have money with their sales to get another player who could play.

Sorry, but I think that giving more limitations to the game is certainly not the way to go.

Skill 'keeper' is the only exception, but when you train GK 'pace' and 'passing' it will be the same as the other training for all players.

Btw, less GK trainers will mean less good trained GKs on the TL so the prices of GKs will increase and that will make it more interesting for managers to start train GKs and sell them with high profits. The market will determine the prices and by that making it more or less interesting to train specific skills.

If he is not allowed to sell for 7 weeks, that team is stuck with 2 injured players and cannot have money with their sales to get another player who could play.

This would make it more realistic as that is what soccer is about. Managers in rl also can't just sell and buy players when needed, and I think it would be great to have this realism in Sokker too. How to deal with injuries and to keep your team in balance when injuries happens also makes someone a good manager or not.

Really less For eg. i dont care training def for MID or ATT players for X weeks...ok you train all your players but what the benefit of training all your team (swicth trading every 4 weeksv for eg.) against trading only 5 or 10 players specialized at full training. zero. Then we see 'absurd' situation (not absurd for sokker market) like training 22 young player in pace (only) in farm team, a goalkeeper play MID fot the benefit of passing training ... and more.

Charles.... I dont understand people that hang on to that saying "is more realistic".

Why is it that you think most people want it to be more realistic??? They want to play "Sokker" here, not real life like game.

And IF most do... then by all means at least be fair to all aspects of the game.

You want people to not be able to sell for 7 weeks even without injuries?? Then let us train ALL our players in ANY skill we want. Why not? In real life they can. We can have our GKs train apart from the Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards who all train their needed skills together and/or separately during training. "It would be great to have this realism in Sokker too".

If all players can be trained for any skills we want, all players will have all skills unearthly within seasons, or the improvement of skills should be slowed down, but that won't be fun I think when you can get from solid to very good in half a season :/

I was being "ironic" Charles. Of course that would happen. And that is just one example of why this game should not be aimes to be "more realistic". Keep it under Sokker standards... there is a reason why we all joined this game in the first place.

I understand why we cant train all players different skills, so I dont complain about it. There is a reason why we can buy and sell players like this, so there is no need to complain about it.

There are users that get tired of the game and one way to get a spark back is to sell the entire team and by youth players to train... and then maybe there is an extra player from your country that another team just got off their youth squad and is selling. But if you past your "amount allowed" of players to buy in a season you wont be able to?? Really, guys... I understand what you are "trying" to do, but this will only take joy "out" of the game...

there is a reason why we all joined this game in the first place.

There is also a reason why so many left ;)

And I'm not sure if a selling limit of an X players per season is ok, I do see positive points but also some negative (btw, not your example of start over as that are just a few exceptions many managers won't do). But to have a selling limit in number of weeks before reselling player I see many positive points. And also from a soccer perspective it makes sense as a player want to have a change to fight for his place in the main team.

Until you actually know the reasons why people have left, it is not wise to assume which reasons where they and probably change the wrong aspects that needed to be changed.

Not saying it could not be, but better know before assuming.

And I feel that we should focus the priority in what users want and not what a "player" in the game may want.

Again, I understand your reasoning, but it just off target.

Currently, half of peoples think we need to change training system.

I summarized my proposal:

1) Does not change the general rules of trainings and interface. But changing ratios to promote general training of the overall team over specialized /individual training of few.
All players who have played the week (except stamina) will receive a training, depending on the particular characteristics of the head coach, the talent of the player, and finally the level of assistants.

1-1) Whatever the chosen position and training all players who have played the week receive more general training.
1-2) The training selected and the selected position provide "only" a bonus training, but less effective than before.
1-3) Proportionally change ratio between general and individual training must provide the same effectiveness of training than before. Distribute more on the different characteristics while still allowing to improve a training in particular.
1-4) The talent should be different on each characteristic and not more generally to allow anyway specialized players but without the control of manager specialized training

Consequences:
Fewer players very specialized and very high in characteristics. More balanced players and the ability to lead his team without the use of trading and specialized training of some players.

Idea posted on the test server to show the DEVs? no? :)
2013-01-05 01:56:44
I think both ideas are already posted on the test server in the past (or something the same). At least the second idea to stop daytrading (and I know this without looking because it was also posted by me ones ;)).

Some of the smaller teams can't afford to have assistant coaches to help improve teams also, previous experience.

Would be nice if other teams could try and poach your coaches, and be forced to pay compensation etc, would make it more realistic...
