Subject: [IDEA] Unhappy Fans

This needs a makeover fast. i no off 10-15 teams (thats just who i no of i reckon its more like 75%) that do not want to go up a division for fear of loosing many fans when they come 6th in the division above, now this has to change, do you think Wigan fans have been unhappy the last 8 years then? nope only now they will be cos they got relegated.
So this is wrong if you finish 6th in the premiership you should get more fans joining than if you came 2nd or 3rd in division 2 , same for division 2 if you come 5th or 6th after being promoted from division 3 you should'nt loose fans , fans are not stupid but the way it is they have been lobotomized.

My fans hate me anyways ...but the best part is as an U21 Coach I get all the Football Moms :)

I must have opened this thread and forgot it, it is a problem yet dealt with.

In my league 2 of us will try and come 2nd (there will be 3 when 1 more realises & so on) because if you loose playoff game to a much better premier side and drop 5 levels in fan mood , you keep loosing fans over close season then have your toughest matches 1st.

I gotta agree with you there. the fns part of things is pretty crap/ I loose against a team much higher in the ladder than me in the cup i lose fans, i play the favorites of the div i am in and again I lose fan credebility.,fans dont leave a club because they lose a game or a few games or even get relegated.the main reason a team has smaller gates when relegated is because other clubs have smaller fan base.teams lose fans after loads and loads of disapointments.

The thing with the unhappy fans annoies me a lot. I have been losing fans for the last 3 straight months. It doesn not make any sense, because my season has not been that awful - 5W, 3D, 3L.

The only reasons for unhappy fans are:

1. when they expacted easy win and you win max 3:0 it is possible that they will bring their mood.

but

2.when they expacted very very hard match or hard defeat and you lost with max 2-3 difference --your fans will be pleased and will jump on thair mood. :)

when they :

lose hope
are depressed
are angry
believe in your club

then not enough to get the matches for which they are already expecting an easy victory. you have to win or play a draw with a lot stronger than you (think of their expectations, because sometimes it happens that the team is much stronger than my real and writes to expect my team to win)

well i just got promoted all except one team are higher ranked than me i am doing alright this season yet the fans are depressed dont get it

It is not about ranking, it is about the amount of fanclub members, and expectations for matches. If you get some results a bit better and other results way worse then expected you will lose fanmood.

of your last 5 competion matches you lost 4 and drawed 1... you can see those results as not that bad, but your fans aren't that clever. And they do surely do not look at the table.
