Subject: [idea] Play-off final to be the champion
yup, with total playoffs I could sell out my team, train youths and start playing for real at the start of play offs...
The kind of sport matters as well, because basketball is a more random game than football. It's needed a playoff to decide who deserves the win, playing more matches. I would explain it better in spanish, but in football doesn't make sense so much to play a playoff maybe only it has to be played if the 1st and 2nd are draw at the final of the league, but playing a playoff would sound as to earn more money from TV and stadium like to make it more fair.
Basketball plays playoff because of this as well, but I think it makes sense to decide the winner. One thing of the developers were fighting long time is about triying to disadvantage the people who often shwich players, introducing the team-work. So this idea would be against this proposal which I think it's absolutely right

Also in the NBA etc. playoffs you don't have 1 game, but you play until one team wins 3 (or 4?) times...so it's totally different...
The idea is really bad for single-groups divisions. It's just doesn't make any sense at all to play against 7 teams and then play again against one of those teams for the "title". If the champion is to be decided in a final, then you may as well play a cup... which already exists.
It could make sense for divisions with multiple groups. For example, in the current system, the top 25% of league winners get direct promotion, but there's no guarantee that the level of opponents was comparable across leagues. It could be both fun and more fair if league winners played a round of playoffs against each other (1st vs 1st, still no 2nds :P) to decide these spots. Then the best would be more likely to promote, and we would have those fun decisive matches as well. And there are real examples of this: this is how it works for third ("segunda B") and fourth ("tercera") divisions in Spain, where teams are divided into multiple groups, and then some playoff system determines actual promotions and promotion/relegation playoff participants.
The problem with this is the calendar. At 2nd division (4 winners) this could be easily implemented by killing the "free Sunday" (1-way matches, of course), and even in third division we could still manage by splitting the teams into "bins" following the current system (how easily you won your league), which would be second best compared to the current system, But further down there are just too many teams. I guess it would still be possible to have two-week playoffs, once again restricting participation according to the current system.
The problem is what to do with promotion/relegation matches. To the extent that they exist, we cannot use two sundays, so we should further restrict playoffs to 1 match only. Or lower the number of relegations and make all promotions come from the playoff, without "last bullet" matches for relegated teams. But I'm not very convinced by this.
This playoff In any case, promotion playoffs could be fun for hundreds/thousands of Sokker users, while the original idea, even if it was good (which I think it's not :P) would affect 2 teams per country. OK, you could have this within.league playoff in every division, but I hope by now I convinced you that, in all divisions with more than one league, playoffs across leagues are much better/funnier than playoffs within league ;)

Good idea!
Every champion's does a match beetween each other to grow in upper division.
If there is only "x" places to grow up, a match beetween the "2x" best champion's could choose the upgrading team's

sorry but it's a WORST idea i've ever read in sokker forum.
the essence of a league system is to find not only the strongest but also the most consistent one to be crown the champions. now you want an additional play-off to find the winner in the same division/league? what a joke.

Yes a final match 1st VS 2nd to have suspens untill the end of the championship
let's try it one season and if you are not satisfied we change.

as i said, it's a bad idea. really bad idea ever.
don't want to try it even once and hopefully neither the devs.
