Subject: Should friendlies affect fan morale?

I think this is just the most ridiculous thing on sokker right now, you are suppose to train your young players in the friendlies/ training games, yet if you get beat badly your fan morale takes a hit!

I've never been so incensed playing this game knowing this has affected my fan morale it had prompted me make this post, I mean common!, you're suppose to play your weaker team in training, that's the whole purpose, then when something plays their strongest side against you and you get slaughtered your fan morale takes a hit?? no one has control of what players the other manager decides to play, hence fan morale should not be affected in friendly games.

Please sort this out. Its not good for the game at all.

It also happened to me last week... I was surprised about it...

the stupid thing is not only friendly match and his fan mood consequence, the stupid thing is that we need a friendly to train a B-team. For one year at least now, the devs promise us to change this gradually. still nothing.

quote 2013-04-04 ^^ :
In the future we would like to make changes in training, in accordance with the expectations expressed in surveys. Ultimately, the training has to be more realistic and more interesting, but less dependent on matches played. But we aim to maintain continuity and any changes in training will be introduced gradually, to assist with people who have training programs for their players. We will inform you about the details in advance.

Sincerely,

Your Sokker Development Team

I don't usually drop names, but team ROXY FC who was the team who played his strongest team against me and never compensated me anything for his mistake.

It's quite impressive that there is a development team, or at least they existed 2years ago messaging in the forum..I have yet to see an admin post anything.

Where is the problem? You can look for matches vs similar teams to yours, avoid strong teams for friendlies, or, if it's an issue for you, look for rivals who play with all their players in a square (and do yourself the same).

Look at the moral drop not as a reaction of the fans against their B team because it could not win the match, but against their president's (that is, *you*) nonsensical decission of scheduduling for them an impossible match.

;)

I been saying this its stupid. also the sponsor I am meant to try and improving my squad by playing youngsters in the friendlies and i get punished for it. if i play a much weaker team than me then and i in nothing happens lol .

Correct! Friendlies should not affect fan morale.

Than maybe it should also give managers no extra income? And no training?

Besides, the effect is really small on mood.

A drop is a drop in morale, it can cost a team in the III division with a tight budget.

The Morale directly links to the amount your sponsor pays you and a drop will cost you as much as £8000 in one week and £16000 by the time you can improve your fan morale again providing you win your next game and if you beat a weak opponent your fan morale doesn't improve at all which means more loses. that is a difference in staying a float or being able to afford a junior team! and pay the wages of your first team players!

If it doesn't have such an impact I wouldn't be mad.

A drop is a drop in morale, it can cost a team in the III division with a tight budget.

Choose your opponents wisely. Play against weaker teams to make sure you win, or play against way stronger teams so the ticket-income will compensate the little drop in mood.

There is an issue. Its not right, it needs to be sorted, making excuses is not an option.
2015-01-20 22:56:12
Things are sorted, if you lose from weaker teams your supporters won't like it and when this happens with a friendly, the consequence is really small. Maybe not in your eyes, but it is. And as I wrote, you can solve it yourself.

If my mood drops after junior games, the effect is not small enough.
2015-01-21 11:15:03
I think the same when my mood drops 3 levels when I lose some official match ;)

It is part of the game, everyone has to deal with it. Managers can do 2 things: do nothing and complain about it, or do something about it by inviting the right opponents for friendlies. Option 3: delete mood for friendlies because it is inconvenient, is not a realistic option. DEVs won't delete it or it would have been deleted already in the past.

So I shood look for an opponent
- with many supporters
- with a weak second team
- but not so weak he injures my players
- possibly with a good pitch
- and all manually
sounds very comfortable. And the same for junior games. Oh wait, there I can't choose my opponents.

But of course changing fan mood after junior and friendly games is a much more important aspect of the game and has to be kept at all costs.
