Subject: [IDEA] Setting TL time
- 1
Someone wants to buy a player and he prefers between 01:00 and 04:00 sk time. For me its not possible to list a player then because its in the middle of the night.
I think it would be nice if you can have the option to list a player at a specific time and date. So that I can say now, list him at 27/01 02:00.

If there would be an option to put players on the tl at a certain time when managers are not online to do it themselves, it should also be possible to make auto-bids so managers can bid on these players when they are not online. To have the option without the other option would not be fair, and because of that I think it's not a good idea.

why not...its like the normal auction with some deposits on it...so if you for example post a player at x value...the automatic bidding (having a limit set by a user) would start 10 min before ending...and finish 1 min after because the biggest bid would win so far....then the bidding continues until the limit is reached...if its not reached then that player wins...however this would take the prices up because as soon as I would find such a deposit I would bid also to see where the limit is...and you end up paying in most cases more then necessary for a player :D

That's just another reasons why it's not a good idea to have auto-bid.
and you end up paying in most cases more then necessary for a player :D
Only if you define "necessary" as what you would pay in the current set up :P But that actually would more closely reflect the "necessary" spending to get a player.
I believe we'll need to move in that direction at some point (e-bay style bids), which would render this proposal irrelevant (transfer deadline times would not matter) to overcome the decline in number of users, unless it stabilizes once again. With a lot of users, there is always enough potential buyers to minimize arbitrage opportunities (what daytraders live on), but if the number of users go down we effectively end up with segmented markets given by time zones, each one with only a subset of potential buyers. That increases the arbitrage opportunities and the volatility of prices (let's say, the difference between the prices two managers pay for similar players in the same week), which is precisely what the auction system tries to prevent. In UM, where the number of users is absurdly low by SK standards, they had to come up with even major changes to the transfer system to overcome this problem (they started with the same system as SK, but the market collapsed due to the combination of training system and "userbase demographics", so they've been doing the football version of "quantitative easing" for a while now :P).
An automated bid system would ensure we have a unified market of ~20k users.

I agree on the autobid and tl timesetting (Altough the last one is less important if the autobid is introduced)
The point is that the less users there are the flucturation in price for equal players will raise. The first one is on a time 3 users bid and the other player is sold on a moment no bidders are online. With (example) 50k users that will not happen often, but with 20k it is way more common.
I always did not like it, but now I have to change my mind about this.

TL-setting would be bad for managers in different timezones. There will be fewer good players on the TL for players in Asia for example, as everybody will aim to sell at around 20PM SK-time. In most of Asia, people are sleeping by that time.
That's true, but that is why i would like it to see the time settings introduced together with the autobidsystem.
It will make it more easy to sell on different times, no matter if people work, sleep or what. And it is also easier to make deals . (Deals like: "I sell this player first so i have money for your player, Can you sell your player an hour after me?" The seller of the second player can put him on the TL directly after this deal, but with an hour delay.)
For users like me who have internet and acces to sokker whole day it is not better, but for the TL as whole I think it will be much better.

I agree..... i think we see more and more difference on prices on same players, because of lower userbase, it is not very necesary yet to make auto bid, but if drop continues, it will be..... but if introduced now, it will be boost to playing experience for many, as many is here because they like the game, but not have time, or maybe not enough motivation, to play serious... an example is a danish club, who 3 months ago sold most of older players, he still wants to play, but doesnt find time to buy new players, i guees he has 30 m eu, and could be a better team for the top competition in denmark if he used them (and might find more motivation when new players start to pop and develop and his team again is playing better), and i think there is a lot of these kind of cases.... and a little of the possible price inflation caused, might be reduced since you dont longer have to bid very high, if you want player you cant be online to get...
