Subject: [IDEA] Junior balance

I think that weekly junior input should be balanced. Talent and time spent in YS should remain random for each junior.

Every junior should have a special value when it enters YS. That value should be linked to juniors age and skill ratio.
Lets calculate junior value like this:
V=((SKILL+5)/SQRT(AGE-15,5))
Now, I made this formula quickly and I think its not good enough but it has one very important thing, that 3 average juniors value is close to a value of 1 max & 2 min juniors.
E.g.
1. group (average juniors skill 4-5)
17yo average[5] V=8,164965809
17yo average[5] V=8,164965809
17yo weak[4] V=7,348469228
SUM= 23,67840085
2. group
18yo tragic[0] V=3,16227766
18yo hopeless[1] V=3,794733192
16yo good[7] V=16,97056275
SUM= 23,9275736
So if you get 2 really bad juniors you also get 1 really good. If you get 2 average juniors then you get 1 more average. Now what happens if you get 2 juniors or 6... Screw it, i dont know... But we need some balance :)

Some sort of more even junior schools indeed yes.... but a lot of the difference right now is also managers not doing it right... i have a very succesfull junior school, but some of them i have sold for 2-4 m eu, could have sold for 0,4-1 m eu if i did not do some talent graphs, and trained them well for some weeks (4-10 weeks some of them)..... many of the juniors i have sold, i have easily made double money on, instead of sold them as fresh junior without info....

Also, i know a lot now, sacks everybody not 16 with level 5-6+..... my 24 yo star striker own YS player, worth around 8 m started as lvl 4, and was lvl 3 after first training..... Hector Due and Kim Bak which i sold for 2 m eu a piece, and both are now 6-8 m worth in their early 20´ies came as 17 yo´s in YS and exited as 19 yo´s...... i know many wouldnt give such players chance, because they run with 8-10 juniors in school and very little tolerance to see if they can turn out ok...

but the fact, that a lot of managers dont know they pulled a gold bag, they just need to help 1 or 2 skills and get some graphs, is the main reason why their junior school looks bad

also, junior schools success is measuared over 10 seasons, many of them not succesfull, have been open 2-3 seasons and closed again.....

it is all pure random and just about luck

if i sacked everyone who is not +average and 16yr i would not have any juniors at all :D

There is nothing I like more in this game than training my juniors. My YS was once successful but lately Im getting nothing. I save a lot of juniors and still I cant remember the last time i had over 20 of them, most of the time i have less than 15.

Skill, age, talent... Having 3 completely random aspects is too much. Plus you have skill distribution. There is not much room to be smart about it.

I would add a waste of money in trainers that I see no benefits from...my best youth is from when I had an outstanding coach... I then thought ...wooooa what if I had a brilliant coach or unearthly...and that investment got me nothing...what is worst is that I didn't even get another player close the the one I mentioned earlier... so it got worse...wtf?

lol, then you can not say that the talents got worse after better coach..... YS is a long term project, and you cant compare few seasons..... you need to compare like 7-10 seasons at a time...

Another point is, people like to have a lot of nice pulls per season. I understand, but when i tought of how manny trainees i buy per season (1-3)...
If we got more nice players in youth then right now there will be so much potential on the TL every week. People do not buy more players then. So it is realy reasonable to think the price will drop realy hard.

I do not mind, because i am thinking of stop with my youth ;) And lower prices for nice trainees are good for me :P

He is not talking about better pulls, but the pulls more even distributed amongst clubs... :)

Same random goes for everyone so it is fair from that point of view... But just because its fair it doesnt mean that its good.

Yes, peoples juniors are listed under statistics on club page (plus feature), and it is clear that there is big difference between teams..... some teams get really lucky and have sold for 40-60 m eu, and many teams have been really unlucky and sold for 10-20 m eu, and then many in between..... and when you look at the fact, that many teams are worth around 20-50 m eu (and probably not even CC winners have a team worth more then 100 m eu), then that difference in junior sales, is gigantous....

And I wonder how it is even possible to do a good check of juniors. Players with tragic - poor will almost all get fired, even if they have a lot of weeks to go, but maybe many had talent 3. The only way to find talented players is to keep many juniors with a lot of weeks and have patience.

EDIT: ofcourse the final skills you get when promoting your juniors is crucial to make nice profits, but this should somehow be able to found out by using junior stats; pitch position - individual match rating - % Off. - % Def.

Did someone do a good research about these stats and final skills of juniors lately?

I don't know if I will live that long :)))...imagine you are playing a game...lets say fifa or whatever does not need to be a sport game...and you make your moves...press your keys now...and see what you have done next year...wow that is quite a game heh?

I want to have a reason to log in every Thursday...to see training results...juniors promoted...and be happy...feel good and that will make me keep playing the damn game...otherwise....dohhh I wander why the user number is droping....dohhh...

Think of the main reason you play a game...any game!!!
