National team players cannot be fired. Probably some of your NT players got lost, because their club team was replaced by a new manager. If you don't want to lose these players you should let them play for at least one match and keep them in your NT squad. Then they will be sent to the transfer market if their owner gets replaced.
The players you lost already are lost unfortunately, but you can prevent losing more.
