I'm training DEFs for the last 3 real years
My defenders were 16/17 when I bought them and I trained them in pace and defense first, then technique and finally pm and pass, where I had to swap DEF and MID orders, as you suggested
In the beginning I was not competitive but I know DEFs with low PM can't play with MID order because they keep the ball until some opponent tackles them. But, like I said, from outstanding and above PM, they seem to play as good as with DEF order

not for technique, cause technique trains equally good on all field positions...
But if you want to train your striker on PM or passing, you MUST give him a mid-order!
i am surprise that, when devs has introduce its new training system idea I was in the large minority to complain about this false-new system. But anyway, maybe it’s not too late :-)
We should change a training system that force us to specialize for only one position. We manage a team , not a basecamp training club for a specific position. That’s the real « bug » that should be fix.

Number 1 who said this was fixed, i tell you now 100% this is not fixed 1 bit, i played league leaders beat them, then i play the team everyone is beating 7+ 1 etc and my star striker could not shot ever played as a mid passed only, if this is fixed it's fixed for next season?
this has bugged me and cost me so many titles over the years are you sorting this or not, with this issue you can't train properly and there's alot of people who care about winning games only not training.

fixed for next season? fixed for when? you said already fixed i thought? i was on a roll fans everything took so long to build now im deflated this has always hurt me like this fpor 14 yers i've hated it , why was it not first thing sorted, if i was in charge it would have been the first thing i did perhaps if i knew in 2007 done in 2007, iw ouoldn't stop until i sorted it
That’s not a bug. Mid order played like a mid (more passes ) that’s logical and that’s what you should expect. The problem is about the overall training system. So if you want fix this now, stop training strikers, that’s the only solution.

no it's a bug , you don't have this is real life we need to train tech on mids its a problem, i had to turn game off at half time i couldn't watch anymore i could tell 100% i wouldn't score
I do not train strikers! so your telling me you don't train tech on defenders or mids then? anyway someone said its fixed and we all agree it's abug apart from you, and 16 years of devs

This is a major floor in the game and one I bet you users have left because of or nearly left or will leave

So if don’t train strikers don’t put any mid in striker position. :-)
You do that only to maximize the number of players to get full training. We all do that, but that’s nothing to see about orders. Orders are a strategic feature, if I put a midfielder with ST order I expect him to shot more on goals than passing for example. Order should be improve (like many things) but orders are not typically the problem. The problem is the limit of training by orders. Removing orders in training system, and it’s fixed.
Unfortunately the next system training (deeply thinking by the devs and not by discussing with the community) will not solve this. That’s the one, real problem :-p

Read the little bit i put at end on above post that explains it there really is no argument not even a tiny one
then as this means i cannot train tech again on strikers, id have to buy strikers with low pace as only skill i train for them
and by the way it never is a problem anywhere else on pitch ie playing a defender on mid orders playing mid on defender orders again proving its a bug for the striker as most play 2 strikers max playing 3 may help slightly more but you cant play 4 or 5 as striker like other positions so it's such a huge MASSIVE floor
just wish i wasn't told it was fixed anyway learn't my final lesson do not train tech on mid orders for striker ever again, or drop to div 2 [which is slightly obsurd to have to do]

There re also tactic consequences (in defense and playmaking) when def plays mid order, or mids play def order. For sure. That s not specific to ST, it’s just your specific problem for now, but we have also tactic problems and limits when training any other f* positions.
But I can understand that specific problem, since it's a stupid rule that limits the manager from fully training his players.
That you choose to play your striker or defender as a mid because you train technique for mids...well, that's your own fault, since you can perfectly train technique for defs or strikers as well.

A player should play like the postion he is put in on the field not the orders that benefits his training , if he has a strikers skill set, he should not loose all his striker skills in the match!
so if you put him up front he plays like a striker not a mid [just because of orders ie this games way of doing training] and he's training tech which strikers everywhere need & have
I am not training pm or passing for my striker as it were so it only crucifies your trainer a striker on tech becayuse you can only train 3 players properly in the league not 5

And that's why you pay 15M for a triple divine striker and only 7M for a triple divine defender or midfielder...
