Javinho to All
Hello, I would like to introduce myself, I am Javinho, the owner of me lleva el chanfle, I played sokker from 2005 to 2011.
A month ago i decided to come back, and by surprise I saw everything very similar to when I left it (except for the youth leagues,
that at that time they had not been implemented I think), what also surprised me is the small number of users that a country has
Soccer fan as Argentina is, 15 years ago I remember that we celebrated 1200 users, and today we are about 150 (12.5%).
It surprises me because people now have more access to the internet than at that time.
I think that the game itself is very very good, what is missing (at least in my country) is a bit of publicity, I never saw a sokker poster.
several of us enter sokker thanks to Hattrick advertising. So I have some ideas:
It would be good if they appear in YouTube advertisements, making a video of a few seconds,
It could be Maradona's goal against England recreated with Sokker's visor (last Saturday was the birthday, and this month have been past
1 year after his death) with that and a few seconds of the tactics interface and a little more, I think they would add
many users (thousands) at least in my region, I find it very crazy that in a country like Argentina with 45 million inhabitants there are
only 150 users. They don't even appear on social media, I don't think it's very expensive to pay for an social account manager.

I think the best investment for Sokker is advertising, and in Argentina it is directly nil. I hope you listen to me and that
My country's community grow once and for all because this game truly deserves it.

Greetings and have an excellent week.

Don't you wonder why argentina has lost so many users during all this time, like any other nations ?
If the game was that great, it wouldn't have lost so many users, regardless of the advertising.

Currently the game is under dev (and coming soon…), it’s written in top of most sokker pages. Before starting ads the game should be finish, if not, that’s ads effort for… nothing.

The game is the same as 15 years ago, and 15 years ago there were almost 10 times more users, with today's internet access, the game as it is (in development or not) should have many more users than ever. The game is a finished game, maybe they want to change things (ok) but the game itself is functional, also, in this type of game there is always something to "develop". My point is that the game as it is deserves (without exaggeration) 5k easy users in Argentina at least, which I think can be achieved with advertising with youtubers, instagramers, etc. I do not think it is an effort at all, more users are more possibility of "plus" which gives more money that can be re-invested. Since the game came out in Argentina I have not seen a single ad, nobody knows about sokker, a little publicity would not hurt. Now, if you want to wait to "finish" (I repeat, the game is developerd, wanting to change aspects is another matter) it is a questionable strategy but it is their strategy at the end. Greetings.

The game is the same as 15 years ago

That s maybe the problem.
Sokker get new users during those 15 years, each seasons new users, but sokker wasn’t able to keep them. That’s an ads problem ?

just browse the « ideas/bug forum » : many years of bugs or annoying things that haven’t been solved, and currently not solve after 15 y. That’s the reality when you was outside.

Also, My own child is 11 y old now, I’m dinosaur for him playing this game again in a browser :-) that’s another reality during those 15 y :-)

For me yes, it is a problem of ads. something that makes this type of game great is its community. And it is not the same to enter and see a forum that does not move, to one where they create several topics and talks per day. It does not surprise me that as the thing is, the one who enters sees that everything is "dead" and leaves. if you have a many user base and an active forum, people tend to stick around. And that if, it is solved with ads.

my point is that development can go hand in hand with a large wave of new users.

Y or no ?

Does sokker buy ads when the game was launching? Do you think that those 1200 argentina found a google ads 15y before?

Off course a game need ads, like any product. But just users internet network and sharing is enough to find and keep 1000 users. But in the end, users stay or not , because a game is good enough or not to stay in, and the balance during those 15y is 80% lost.

Yes!!

I don't know, I guess not, or very little

no, never! xD we all entered through a thread on the hattrick forum

i think the game is good, the bad thing is that when you start all of your league are bots, and to compete seriously you have to wait approx 3 seasons. If there was competition from the moment you enter with an active forum I am sure that users would stay.

I understand your point, and you are somewhat right. We will have to wait for the game to finish then. Thanks for the chat, greetings.

It's not an ad problem but it's a technological problem!
Do you think fifa football manager games would have the same amount of players if the graphics and gameplay would still be the same as football manager 2005?
If you look at how far we've come since then in graphics and gameplay, it's a surprise there are still over 10000 users around. This is the best sign of how revolutionary this game was at it's time.
Also...we all aged 15 years since we started. Lots of people from our generation ( 70's to 90's) have their own family, job,....and for the biggest issue...less and less free time to play browser games on the long term, like sokker.

2nd problem: game access... most potential new users are used to playing games on smartphones. Since sokker is still in development on that part, it's really not user friendly, though it has been improved significantly thus far.

3th problem: Game speed! It's a game based on real time. How many people these days have spare time on regular basis to come online on a pc or laptop to play a browser game? Also, who wants to wait for days before something happens. People are used to fast games, short games, easy access games so a game like sokker is like the other side of the world...

last problem is promotion, but as juytt said. Promoting a game with so many uncertainties, still in development, not knowing when it will be finished since the devs are constantly bumping on a flood of bugs...it's not worth the time, effort or money to invest in. We have to wait until all big changes are implemented AND when (almost) all bugs are fixed. If a new game is released these days, like f.e. fifa...people react murderous if the game has bugs! You can say...they payed well over 60 € for it, but even games like fifa, which normally never last longer then 3 or 4 years, the games get updates on bugfixing and people need to wait lots of months to see when and IF the bug would be fixed. Imaging fixing a game where you have to ''fix'' all things that were fixed already into the new design, since new problems occur with every change, but you never know what issues you'll be bumping into. That's the legacy sokker left for the new devs.

So my advice:
This kind of advertising as proposed is great! But only when we're past the roller coaster of issues and bugs, cause 0% of the new managers will be pleased with a game full of bugs...and they might not want to try again later on...

That's where I'm going, they wouldn't have the same amount but they would have more than 150 users, a lot more !!

In the rest I agree on everything, except that it is a game in development, he will like it more or less, but it is already a finished and functional game.

the game as an app is very necessary to compete.

thanks for your time, have a nice week
