Subject: A New Coaching System

Camus to All
In my view the current coaching system is broken and hugely benefits clubs with a lot of money.

There are not enough coaches on the market and those that are available are

A) Useless
or
B Too expensive

The alternative to the market (Coach Recruitment) is also a broken, random lottery which rewards rich clubs and should not be used by anyone else unless you like burning cash you can't afford to lose.

So we need another option. One that actually provides value, can be used by everyone and it not based on luck.

Skill Point Distribution
Those of you who play RPG's will know what's coming.

You buy points for your coach and you assign them according to what you want.

128 points maximum (16 for each skill). The more points your coach has, the more it'll cost you (and wages obviously) and I'd argue that creating an 128point coach should be highly expensive. (It'd cost you at least 3-4m on the market right now).

This system would allow new clubs to budget and spend what they can afford, while getting a coach that isn't completely worthless. It allows the big clubs to spend their money (something the devs clearly desire) but actually pay a fair price for it.

This is a fairer system for everyone that actually works.

Personal experience right now. If my coaches retire at the end of this season, I am completely screwed.

There are no good coaches on the market. There are literally 14 for sale for the whole game, only 3 are Magical and 2 of those are trash. The 1 remaining is far from great.

If I use Coach Recruitment, I could end up spending over a million and get absolutely nothing for it.

My club isn't exactly poor, so if I'm finding this situation difficult, imagine what it's like for a newer club with no money.

The system is broken and it urgently needs fixing.

ok, so rich clubs can easily get what they need and train their players optimally, while new clubs have to live with crappy coaches because everthing else is beyond their budget.

That certainly won't close the gab...

Rich clubs can already easily get what they need. The problem is that smaller clubs can't get s**t. Coaching in this game is currently a lottery that only the rich can afford to play, it needs to be fairer where everyone is allowed to buy what they can afford.

And as a newby I can say to you that coach recruiting was no big deal for me. But I can anyhow not finance the wages of magical coaches. And incredible/brilliant coaches are quite easy to recruit.

It is the exteaordinary (low wage magical or unearthly coaches) thta can you make loose a lot of money in the lotterey. And that is rather good for new teams, when rich teams need to spend so much.

The only way newer clubs can get competitive coaches is by winning a lottery that they can't afford to play. There needs to be a fairer system that isn't based on getting lucky. My preference is just to have more coaches available on the market.

As an older club who never farmed for the money, I can say that recruiting is far from Optimal. You were very Lucky in recruiting the coach you wanted without burning a lot of money. I spend around 25M for 2 unearthly coaches 10 seasons ago, because there were no unearthly coaches for sale and Every coach I recruited was dat from Optimal.
I think Camus' proposal is certainly much better than it is now. Obviously the idea should be worked out and optimalized but it's imo a start to improve a crucial part of the game.
I'm in favor of this idea. Even if it Will Cost a certain 10M to get An unearthly coach f.e....
But imo those coaches should, like world star players with 5 times unearthly skills, be more a rarity than a norm for wealthier teams.
I'm also in favor of players becoming coaches. Their TD should be the ceiling of their potential skill Total.

But why get 2 unearthly coaches, why even get 1, when there is 25 to 50+ or so, with only 2-3 missing skillpoints from unearthly , pulled in the recruitment before you hit the jackpot, which is by far enough for any club

Do you really think we are supposed to have lets say just 500 unearthly coaches in the game, equivalent to that more then 10% of all proffessionel clubs in the rl world has la masia junior Academy standards

And for Headcoach... Again, why not switch between 2 to more coaches with unearthly in the skill you want, so you just plan your training after it. I do that with these two coaches as switching them as one being headcoach and one being ys coach

Leonard Gravgård, age: 64
wage: 459 200 kr.
club: Rishøj IF, country: Danmark,
magical [15] coach

Training effectiveness as head coach:
unearthly [16] of stamina unearthly [16] of keeper
unearthly [16] of pace unearthly [16] of defender
brilliant [14] of technique unearthly [16] of playmaker
unearthly [16] of passing unearthly [16] of striker

Øjvind Mester, age: 37
wage: 442 200 kr.
club: Rishøj IF, country: Danmark,
magical [15] coach

Training effectiveness as head coach:
unearthly [16] of stamina unearthly [16] of keeper
unearthly [16] of pace magical [15] of defender
unearthly [16] of technique unearthly [16] of playmaker
incredible [13] of passing unearthly [16] of striker

It cost me less then 1m eu to pull, lucky, granted, but the point is, stop looking for perfect, first of all its not realistic to think 500-1000 out of less then 5k users (10-20%) has world class standards, second of all, you are correct, its not economically beneficial, which it neither should be. Also having more then incredible assistants isnt economically rewarding either, and it shouldnt. It shouldnt be in a way so that its always the best coaches that is needed, because saying all clubs in the game should have the same standards is bullocks, and actually if people learned to settle, they would learn to grow their club much faster

But the biggest hoax of your rant is that only rich clubs get the advantage of unearthly coaches and therefore they must be cheaper, guess what, if they were cheaper you would not make the rich clubs take the stupid choice to spend 10m on one, and having to replace again later. While you with your magical you pulled for 500k, and saved on wages aswell, will actually be more rewarded because you took the financial more clever choice.

Finding a high end magical isnt hard, did you hear about sublevels?

as adaca already pointed out, unearthly coaches are pure luxury. I love it when the old rich clubs waste many mio just to have one.
It is economically nonsense and also in view of the gameplay, their benefit is quite negligable. Imo, unearthly coaches should stay exceptional and luxury.

I recruited them for the sole purpose of becoming a U21 / NT trainer to train the best of my country, for all positions available. That's why I needed an unearthly coach for my youth and an unearthly coach as main coach to be able to train all skills simultanious. Like I said...I'm not complaining, just saying that the current system is far from optimal. I just don't care about money in this game where random decides every aspect of your team.
Random is only okay imo if it adds value to the game, not if it's the only decisive factor for each decision you make.
