Subject: [NT] World Cup

This Saturday the kick off of the fourth World Cup will be given. I wanted to prepare something about the the groups and the teams, but it’s a little late to start now. Two guys made a much better guide than I could ever produce. Hellsangel, the Belgian NT coach and langhe, a moderator from Belgium made a lot of efforts to make their guide, so all credits go to them. I will post their guide in my next post.


Tomorrow we will play Danmark. It’s an ideal chance for payback, because we met them in Group K. The first match was lost 1-3. Two weeks later the animated match ended with a draw, two red cards and two injuries.

New Zealand is considered as one of the weakest teams competing in the World Cup, with only one star out of five. Danmark gets two and is in theory the only team we can really beat. Yet we are starting as the underdog and must hope they underestimate us.

Danmark is on a winning streak, the won their last three friendlies. They were too strong for Norway, Sweden and even Poland. For the record: Poland were playing with an U19 team.

nice result, did some good research with your tactic and had your throws working well. Deserved win.

Something I picked up though, was that since you had that slight gap between your defenders, whenever you attacked your defensive mid moved probably a bit too far, since on the counter this left the gap and the central defender had to come up to fill the hole creating a larger gap in the backline as a result. This led to their goal, so something to take a look and analyze before next week.

wahoo. Nice win. haven't watched the game yet. But will later today. Pity about Watts injury.

i'm very happy we won. first 20 minutes we scored 3 goals and were the better team. good combinations, sansom played wonderful, he's my new hero. After watts's injury they began to dominate. Also our def mids were a tad too slow and also danmark has highly technical players what made it very hard to defend. But New Zealand fought for ever inch and although they scored a goal, i'd say this win was deserved

I think we dominated the game. Very solid tactic with no mistakes at all! Well done!
Yeah there's gaps in the midfield at times, but that's how I usually play and I dont think it's a huge problem.
Maybe shift one of the attacking midfielders down a bit more and make sure the defensive mid doesnt go too far up.
Atkinson and samson are legends. Well done to snowy for training them up ^^
