I have a feeling NZ will go the furthest this time round. Nz's been to the round of 16 so this means Griever has to make sure NZ gets to the quarter finals.

No pressure! :P

Hello,

Our next WC match will be a crucial one. If we want to reach the next round we would better win this one, because Lietuva is considered as a stronger team than Slovensko. In theory Slovensko is a team a bit better than Danmark, but weaker than Lietuva.

Slovensko lost their first match, but only just. In a match that could have gone either way, Lithuanian efficiency proved vital. In the 85th minute they scored a late goal winner after Slovensko scored an equaliser 5 minutes earlyer. Slovensko created more chances and had more possession, but they failed to press home the win.

Slovensko reached 1/8 finals in their first WC. Probably the place in the 1/8 final will go to the winner of this game. They are weakened a bit. Barola, Horvath, Kahanec are injured. Nitek took his third yellow card. Meixner, who scored a goal against Lithuania, received a red card. He is slighly injured anyway.

New Zealand has some worries too. David Watts got injured after 27 minutes against Danmark. He still has to recover more than two weeks. Greg Dawkins was sent off in the 87th minute and therefore not available.
If Matt Graham, Alan Hird, Mark Kelly, John Kilkenny, Sam Sansom get booked they will be suspended against Lithuania.

As places in the dug out are for staff only, I have to take place in one of the VIP seats. I already arranged meetings with Julia, Adriana and Silvia

Eat that Cerb en Griever!

nicely done. There's another manager who doesn't know how to use conditional orders too well as it left a nice vacant hole for Hird :p. Was lucky for Slovensko the score wasn't higher with the gap they left.

Good win, should see you through to the next round if Lietuva do their job against Denmark.

As long as Lietuva don't lose today, that is NZ into the knockout stages for the first time.
2008-03-15 09:35:42
2nd time I think you'll find :p.

I do struggle to remember the ins and outs of every NT!

Griever...you are crazy! Gongratz! :)
2008-03-15 09:51:38
So do I, that's why there is the history page, although that is rather limited.
2008-03-15 13:53:56
That requires effort to look at though ;)

Fair call. The fact is New Zealand are through after Lietuva smashed a pretty ordinary Danmark tactic 7-1.
