Subject: Transfers NZ - Open or Closed?

2005-12-20 09:50:31
I have had a request for us to consider closing transfers NZ to users from outside of NZ or who are not posting NZ players - as happens in England etc. at the moment.

To do this we need the view of users. Therefore if you agree to closure can you reply with a mark next to YES, if you do not add a mark to NO

YES:
NO:

YES

most of the transfers are poor players anyway and i think its just clogging up the forum.

YES

Only excellents and above?

the other possibility would be making some kind of rules.

*Some skill requirements
*English only
*Only 1 up per day

Things like that...

so why dont they do it?
2006-08-29 08:45:41
about time this was brought up again :P

make it NZ players only!!!
2006-08-30 05:32:25
Uh, why? most of the top new zealand teams have outside players anyways. So I believe skill requirements would be a better idea.

do you actually look at the transfer forums when wanting to buy a good player or do you just go into Transfers on the right?

If only NZ players are listed, it would make it so if we saw someone we liked from our own country, we could buy them at that time..... that probably doesn't make much sense
2006-08-30 06:23:14
I do both.
sometimes there is a good player on the transfer list.
but I don't know. I wanna stay all NZ
but also, the lack of users in NZ make it so that any quality NZ players are hard to find, since those that exist the teams in NZ probably want to keep them

i barely look at the transfer forums cause they are just so cluttered with crap players.

it would be useful if it was used to advertised NZ players, and if i needed a really good player i can go to transfer lists. I would love to go all NZ too, but i have tough requirements!
2006-08-30 06:26:47
exactly, don't you see.
Closing the NZ forum would make it harder for you to find good quality players. And the international forum has even crappier players.
So I say skill requirement is more appropriate.
2006-08-30 06:30:19
but i never find good, quality players on the transfer forums when i look anyways...
2006-08-30 07:07:42
that is why
a skill requirement is a better idea.
If you close the thread to only allow NZ players, do you really think you'll find that many good quality players, NZ being as small in users as it is?
2006-08-30 07:08:51
i can see your point of view, but i think it would be better to keep them seperate. Maybe a forum for NZ players and one for good players?
2006-08-30 07:12:12
wouldn't that be asking for too much?=p
imagine how many more countries would want the same thing.

There is a transfer thread with skill requirements, but it's international.
