I think start of the match was very good, but later ....

I am afraid tactic sux :P

Firstly, NZ should play with 4 DEF's (because NZ DEF's are too slow)

I think tactic 4-3-3 will be great! That tactic let to play from counterattack. NZ have really good Attackers, but they aren't used!!! I think snowy not really good consider tactic and players positions...

Snowy have long way before he arrange team, but we will help him :)

Jamie Pollock is attacker not midlefielder...

too slow defenders -> not play off-side :P

I'm coming back from holidaies, and I find this horrible result with Columbia...
I agree with shailboos when he said that seeing the strongness of NZ defenders you have to play with 4 people, now i'll get another view to the match and write other considerations...

That was his first game..it was just a test...
Nz always has to play with four defenders or more. We have shitty defenders and I always played with 4 or 5 and whats more, our strikers are really damn slow so that cancels out the option of counter attack. Its much harder to handle NZ nat team than u think....I relied heavily on just one pass NO dribble and straight shooting.
Jamie Pollock is an attackerr?? I used to own him, but sold him away. I would say he is more of an offensive midfielder. I play 3-4-3 but set one of my 3 attackers as a midfielder position. Maybe snowy set one of the midfielders position to ATT. Thats clever I think. Gtg happy new year everyone. We'll win next time. Snowy is a more commited nat coach then me. :D I am quite sure.

In the match against Columbia, I employed a tactic based on 3-4-3, with position 8 being the 3rd ATT (sort of a playmaking role, behind the 2 strikers). Passing usually isn't too important for ATT, but in a position such as 8, I believed Jamie Pollock's high passing would be of some advantage.

In hindsight, not having four defenders was probably a bad move, and will be amended for future matches. However, from memory, Jamie Pollock is one of about 3 strikers who could play in a third ATT position (Alan Hird and Johnny Bodger are pretty much guaranteed spots). Due to his ability to also play MID (owner had played him there in previous league match), he was a substitute for position 8 (in an already selected formation), so as to provide additional support in midfield, whilst still playing an attacking role.

We'll see what happens in the match against Brasil, anyway.

how much pace would you need to be considered fast enough for CA?

I think Bodger have enough pace...

oh for the defenders? I would say solid and above. I am sure columbia have excellent paced strikers
