Jort [del] to All
Hi,

Who are we?
We are Jort Voerman and Wesley Grevink and we are applying for the job as NT-coach of New Zealand. We are good friends and we live arround 500 meter from each other. We are playing Sokker for more than 2 years now and we still enjoy playing it. We are both quite jung (Jort almost 17, Wesley 16) but we understand (read) English verry well, maybe our writing will have some mistakes sometimes but i think you will understand us. We are both still going to school, Wesley is graduated this year so he’s going to do a study next year. I’m doing the highest level so I’ve got still 1 year to go. So we have a lot off free time to spend on sokker!

Career in Sokker:
We both started in the 4th division off the Netherlands and we both are promoted to the 3th divsion pretty soon, we both play in the top off this division right now, Grevink finished 1st and he won his promotion match so he plays second division!, Jort also finished also 1st on points but I lost it on goal difference from 2 other teams so i’m 3th. We both haven’t the best teams off our divion iff you look at the ratings, so you can say that we both can win matches based on good tactics.
We both have a bit experience with national teams. I’m Att-scout off the Netherlands right now (I will quit iff i become your NT-coach). And Grevink was Def-scout off our country 2 seasons ago. Now we want to make a new step in our career to become NT coach!

Why New Zealand?
We have chosen New Zealand because for a verry simple reason. We wanted an english speaking country. And with all respect for your NT we are starting managers when you look at our International career, so we wanted to start with a smaler country with not too much users.

Our goals
We want to have realistic goals.. so we could say we want win the World cup but unfourtunatly we dont think this is possible. So we tried to make other goals.

- Have good contact with the managers so we can stimulate managers to invest in their youth schools so New Zealand will hopefully have better youth players in the future.
- We want to try to improve the intrest of the National team, it’s possible we are going to organize contests to make this possible. Also make topics about games on the forum.
- We want a good future for the NT off New Zealand so we are going to spend most of our time in the youth players. We want them to get the right training and with good trainers. We defently want to play some U21 matches.
- Of course we want some good results to! We want to improve our World ranking position and perform well against slightly better country’s and country’s with the same level. We are good with makaing tactics so we think we can do this well together. Maybe we can reach te World Cup but this would be pretty hard! But it’s possible.

Our crew
We don’t have a crew yet except ourselfs. To reach all of this we need help of course… it’s possible that there will be more Dutch managers (also with experience) helping uss. But we prefer that you help us! We need some people to help uss with organising projects and analizing our opponents. And we need some scouts too. So if you’re intrested dont be afraid to contact us!

Iff you have questions please ask them…!

Hey lads, thanks for running in the country. Just for the record, i dont have any inhibitions about cruelty, so if i seem harsh at any time it isn't personal.

First off, i was wondering if either of you thought your first team could beat my first team.

Second off, you are both still pretty young, do you believe you have the maturity to learn from tactical errors and accept possible criticism?

Third off, though we are a small country, we punch well above our weight because of a bit of luck with our players and some dedicated nationalism. Do you think you have the ability to live up to the standards previously set by past great NT managers such as Griever/Cerb, Seca and bballmaster2?

As a sort of follow on from the third question, you say that winning the World Cup is unrealistic for NZ, and this is very true. How far do you think you can get with us?

Lastly, you stated that you would possibly get help from other dutch users in terms of scouting and if we want to help to contact you. Being that you stated us as a small country previously, are you sure this is necessary?

Thanks, and good luck!

You forgot the greatest one.

First off, i was wondering if either of you thought your first team could beat my first team.
Yes.. I thought about it. I watched at the New Zealand top teams and you have got a pretty decent top 5 and I think this level is about equal to our level. So i’m saying we could make it to the top 3 is your First leage.
But if you look only at your team. I would say we would loose. But I think this has nothing to do with our campain for NT-coach?

Second off, you are both still pretty young, do you believe you have the maturity to learn from tactical errors and accept possible criticism?
Iff the results are bad I would of course accept your criticism, I won’t like it but it’s part of the job and we would accept it. And I would also accept it if there is an other good reason for it. And i think we allready learned a lot from our own tactical errors in the past 2 years. So i don’t think our age will be a disadvantage, we have pretty much experience despite our age. So I think we mature enough to handle this. We aslo have a lot of free time comming up (vacation). And we would realy like to spend on sokker and especialy the New Zealand NT (even if we don’t win, we would like to help if this is possible).

Third off, though we are a small country, we punch well above our weight because of a bit of luck with our players and some dedicated nationalism. Do you think you have the ability to live up to the standards previously set by past great NT managers such as Griever/Cerb, Seca and bballmaster2?
I agree that your NT has a high level when you look at the amount of users, and that’s of course a good thing and we would realy like to try if we could go on with this progress. The past NT-coaches were great just like you said. But we think we also can reach this level. We have build up 2 nice teams on our own (I’ve got also 2 NT players from big country's). But most of all we are together. We live 500 meter from each other so we can discuss everything we want. 2 people can do a lot more than 1!

As a sort of follow on from the third question, you say that winning the World Cup is unrealistic for NZ, and this is very true. How far do you think you can get with us?
If we have some luck with the draw of the quilification group I think it’s possible to reach the World cup, this wel be hard but it would be great if we could make this. After this it will be over i think, the teams at the World cup are realy good so it will be almost impossible to become 1st or 2nd in the group stage at the world cup.

Lastly, you stated that you would possibly get help from other dutch users in terms of scouting and if we want to help to contact you. Being that you stated us as a small country previously, are you sure this is necessary?
No, you have 26 users so if it’s nesecery we could do this ourself beacause we have enough time.
But it’s always nice te get some help from other managers, the scouting work will be done faster (maybe better) so we have got more time to spend on tactics or other projects. So if this is possible it would be great.

Thanks, and good luck!
Thanks :)! Hope it's clear to you now... if not please ask aigain :).

How do you think NZ will fare against Australia?

NZ already made the World Cup last season, and actually came second in their group. Surely it's a minimal expection for that to be achieved again?

What makes you think you are better than Griever / Cerb? They also have 2 brains.

(Excuse the Aussie bombarding questions from across the border. :P)

Aurtralia has 109 users, NZ has 26... But like barhilo said earlier NZ has a good quality team if you compare it with the amount of users. So i think the NT's are about equal. It will be a hard but verry intersting match. And NZ can certenly win this match :).

Yes I know, and i agree with you, that's why one of our goals is to reach te world cup. But it was a verry good perfermance, and I just want too say it's not easy to achive this. But like I said before, it's possible and we will do anything we can to reach this goal.

What makes you think you are better than Griever / Cerb? They also have 2 brains.
I didn't say we are better. Griever/Cerb are verry good managers and they have done an amazing job. But i think we can also achive this. I think our own teams are comparable, Cerb plays first division now so i guess he will be a bit better but it isn't a lot better. Because Grevink plays also second division and I play at the top of the 3th divison (i think i can handle 2nd). And Nederland is the best country after poland when you look at the ratigns of the teams, so its hard to make promotion.

Cerb plays first division now

only god knows how he did that :)
2008-05-26 15:39:02
i think that even god don't know how he did that ;)
2008-05-26 15:40:15
i surely have no idea how i did it :) in 2 seasons from third to second division :D

enough about me now.. no spam here [oops][oh]

hey you forgot your brother :P He ran for NT coach, why dont you? Come on, Give it a shot.
2008-05-26 17:31:19
Omg i dunno how i forgot you =/

You really did kinda set the benchmark before the others (bball's great win against germany was his bit)

Edit: @ bball, i am well aware ben was coach, he was the worst i've ever seen though, his highlight was scoring the first goal ever against poland, in a 26-1 match =p

Just gonna add that the seasonal match between is fiercely competitive, but NZ usually win it.. Aussie have rubbish strikers, i mean, they have to turn to one trained by me!
