Bah. I'm like athlete's foot or genital warts.

Hmmm. Perhaps a phoenix rising from the ashes would provide a better visual. :D

A try? Maybe a try and a drop goal? Depends some on if my players are actually awake at match time.

Ok. Bit of a speech.

I have always enjoyed the time I’ve spent interacting with the New Zealand Sokker community. This past season was no exception. The discussion is always light and friendly. Quite a pleasure to work with such a group. :)

The season past was reasonably successful. Though many saw New Zealand’s qualification for the World Cup as inevitable, I thought it was far from guaranteed. Especially considering the form problems that plagued New Zealand most of the season. Certainly it would have been better had New Zealand finished a strong 2nd and claimed a 3rd basket position for the WC draw. But one can never be sure if that is actually a prize (3rd basket this time could mean Poland or Iceland as the #4 team in the group). So I’m satisfied with how the team has performed - hope the voters are too. ;)

Normally I make a very strong effort invigorate the forum, and I will admit I wasn’t completely on top of that this past term. The summer was rather unsettled at times. But with autumn I’m into a much better routine, and assure voters that part of my “game” will improve.

Some may recall what happened the last time I managed New Zealand in the WC. I can’t make promises, but I do have a different approach. It begins with bribing as many referees as possible. Hopefully that will stem the “sea of red” that washed over the squad the last time I was in charge at the tournament.

So I ask the voters for the privilege of guiding their team at the World Cup.

Well there's the excuse should Australia lose this week then, matchfixing ;). Good luck with your campaign.
