Hello everyone,

Yet another foreign manager hoping to get elected to lead your national team you'll all think.. Well.. You're absolutely right!

I'd first of all like to tell you a little more about myself. I'm a young Belgian student (so plenty of spare time ;)) interested in hobby's from cycling to soccer to history. I started playing sokker somewhere late 2005 and have been interested in this online game ever since.

Now, why would i be a good candidate? Well, in my opinion i have enough experience with NT's, having been Hellsangels assistant for 2 consecutive years. In those 2 years we accomplished a lot with the Belgian NT, wich i have to say was mostly because of the tactical brilliance of Hellsangel.
It was in those years i learned how to manage scouting and following up players from the moment they are pulled, to making tactics that give you that little extra.

These are my promises:

-I'll make tactics to the best of my ability
-I'll make sure a scouting system is managed to it's best potential, off course together with the NT-coach and within the system allready existing
-I'll make sure there will be some initiatives to get peoples attention for the U-21 team
-A lot more... ;)

These were all the things that came directly to my mind, i'm sure i forgot a lot but hopefully you guys will ask everything you'd like to know.

Greets,
Dosphorus

Not many questions yet :)

just one more thing: i'd also be happy to help any NZ newcommers in sk, or set up some kind of contest. For example: the user who gets the most people to join sokker in 2 months time, gets a year of free plus (with a minimum of 15 users). It's something we've done in belgium too, and it was very succesfull.

Furthermore, i havn't said why i've chosen NZ yet: Well, i've had someone from New-Zeeland in my house for 1 year. Since then i feel kind of bounded with New-Zeeland (i've also been there ;)), and that's why i want to help this community to get on its feet. ;)

Ow, and before i forget. I really hope that we can work on this together, if i get elected that is. I'd really like to get you guys involved in the U-21 (and also NT), but that's something for shortly after the elections. :)

Good, i hope i've been able to convince you, and i'm sure you'll all make the best decision. ;)

I've also allready found someone who will assist me next year, if i get elected. His name is Notjez (coach of South Africa atm) and he'll primarily assist me with tactical issues.
-I'll make tactics to the best of my ability

you will play with only one tactics? hmm
Where have i said that? :)

But anyways, i won't play with only one tactic, though i believe that making only 2-3 tactics and finetuning them is definately the best option. But it is logical that i won't play the same tactic against Poland and Kenia. ;)

Question is off course, wich countries we will play against. And i'd probably prefer as much weak countries as possible. The reason why? Well, all countries are ranked the same, so if we want to get the best rank possible (for the next qualifications) we best play against weaker countries and score lots of goals. ;)
it was it is knowed, that every will want to play from how the weakest teams.

and you want only to play from weak teams games or else from some strong team

I have intention personally (how I will win) clutter up from Poland meeting.
I don't really understand what you are trying to say. But off course it should be my intention to get the ranking as high as possible, together with making sure that every kiwi has a good youth squad (for future pulls) and putting together a good scouting system that must be the higest priority.

What sort of tactics can we expect from the potential NT and NT U-21 Candidates?

Well, that's not that easy to answer, since i really have no idea what u-21 players New-zealand will have next year. You can make good tactics as much as you want, but if you don't have the type of player for each position you're tactic is pretty much worthless (and that works the other way around too of course!).

But as the match engine is right now, and being a 'weaker country', i'd probably prefer playing with a 5-3-2 or a 5-4-1, wich again, very much depends upon the quality of the players.

You are all talking about creating a big staff. With only about 15 active users and 24 teams, do you realy think you need a big staff?

There is a difference between what the NT really needs, and what would be the best..
But even with a smaller country, it'll be a lot of work next year to get the u-21 to were it should be, and i will do most of it myself (contact users to stimulate their use of youth school etc, and help with training scheduales and finding appropriate buyers (like we did in belgium)). But it would be the best if you guys, the community, joined in too. Because without you guys, i can't do ****.

That's why, besides a tactical advisor (Notjez), i'd like you guys to participate too. But what concerns me most right now, is that my post is well readable and understandable. :)

None of you have been very impressing with managing your own team :-) What would make you think you will do better with NT?

Lol, great question. :)

The answer is quite simple really, there are 2 reasons for me being in third division:

- I train young attackers, wich is a lot of fun, but it is really difficult to set good results with. For example: we have 0 ATT-trainers in belgian first or second division! Or just look to polish teams, all the top teams train defenders-midfielders. I have not yet seen, i succesfull team that trains strikers.

- Second reason: Because of that i started playing just for fun (and for the belgian NT), and i've put all my money in 6 great ATT-trainees, who are all under 21. That's the second reason my team is not yet strong, they are simply too young atm.

Last but not least i have to say that i actually was succesfull. I was 1 of 2 teams in belgium who ever succeeded in promoting directly from 5th to 2d division! And if it wasn't for me training ATT's i would definately still be in 2d division.
+ The only advantage that being a succesfull manager could give, is that your used to playing with stronger players (for big NT's like belgian NT), i don't really believe it would be an advantage for U-21 too, since those players will be around the same level is my current players.

You are playing a friendly against a team around the same level as you, you need to win in order to get a 2nd seed for WC Qualifiers but have a lot of injuries to key players and have to call upon the limited resources that are no where as good as your key players. What do you do

Well, first of all i'd cry for a day or two, and go kick greg's ass! :p
But after that i'd just do everything to get the highest chance of winning, wich would probably be to suprise the opponent. But as i've said earlier on: tactics allways need to be made in function of the players you have, so i really can't answer that question properly.

I decided to pull back from the election for one simple reason:

I was ready to dedicate to a project, and i really believed in it, but i havn't felt any dedication from the users here. I'm still willing to co-operate, in any way i can, but it wouldn't be fair to you guys to get elected without believing in the project anymore.

Hope you guys understand, and i hope even more that somehow, some way, some day, you (we) can get this community going again.

Special apologies to the 3 users that vote for me, i should give you all free plus for the trust you had in my. :)

edit: this topic may thus be closed, if anyone should happen to read this any time soon ;)

It's never nice to read that a belgian user draw him back from the elections... but I understand.
