I organized this in Belgium, and I maybe think this will help to get more users active.

Every week you say what you think that the result of the NT match will be.

Rules

New Rules (for next predictions):

correct result : 5 points
correct result; correct goals winner : 3 points
correct goaldifference + correct winner or equal game: 3 points
correct winner: 2 points
correct goals loser: 1 point
wrong result : 0 points

haha dodgy format. Jiler didn't even tip the game correctly and is top, whilst I tipped the correct margin and only get a single point :p.

you only had the correct winner: your prediction: NZ-AUS (2-3) --> (3-4), both teams scored a goal more :p.

I know but surely tipping the correct margin including the correct result is better than selecting the number of goals a side scores :p I would have had tipping correct margin as 3 points but that's just me and I'm not making the rules.

I once had a similiar competition in HT with these rules:

correct result + correct goals for both teams: 5 point
correct result + correct goals for one team : 3 points
correct result + correct goaldifference : 3 point
correct result : 2 point
wrong result + correct goals for one team : 1 point
wrong result : 0 point

how more rules, how more difficult it comes to give points.

Don't think there are anymore rules than in your suggestion ( 5 <> 5). They are not even difficult to understand :-)

This would be the point result with my rules:
