Subject: [NT] Ranking

Who knows, maybe next week are even closer. I am playing against Singapore, will use my B-squad, but should win it anyway. If you lose, then will be interesting see who is ahead:)

Yesterday there were many moments, when I just started to laugh, when Finland failed to score a goal. Really interesting game.

I hope you will the elections. It´s nice to see you writing few posts here every week.

Btw has Australia been always ahead in rankings?

Anything is possible, we've got Scotland, so it's certainly a possibility we could lose. Main objective has been achieved though :).

Yeah, then you'd go down the other end and score. Think when you took the lead I was trying not to laugh. At the same time I was relieved I wasn't supporting the other side, I wouldn't have been happy as you know ;).

Thanks :).

I consider NZ like a 2nd team to support. Despite being rivals and enjoying beating NZ in matches there's a lot of respect to how they've managed to develop a strong and competitive side with such a low userbase and that their users still use the forum despite their small number of users.

No, NZ were ahead of us for sometime I think during the early seasons of my reign or when borkos managed. They might also have been ahead when Seca was managing here too. So we've only recently jumped back ahead, but it appears it will close again :).

Agree. Rankings are not important anymore...But the main objective for me is qualifying to World Cup.

Agree again. Countries are rivals, when they against each other, but that`s perfectly normal. You can be as good friends as possible, but everybody wants to be better than neighbours.

I hoped I was close making history here:)

Anyway I am going against Seca in few weeks. And if you win the elections, then you probably can play against Borkos.

yeah the main objective this coming season is qualifying for sure.

As for creating history, if both NZ and Australia qualify for the WC then that's the first time in Sokker we've both done so at the same time. So far everytime we've qualified, NZ hasn't and vice versa.

I guess you could always beat Australia by more than 1 goal in week 15 for more history too ;).

Should be interesting battles. Both will be difficult for our teams, Seca knows a lot about NZ players and is an exceptional manager. Borkos knows a reasonable amount about the Australian team and has a wide range of tactics, making it difficult to determine what to do against an already superior side player wise.

We are 27th now and quess who is only few points away:)
2009-08-30 08:56:03
indeed, not much difference there now. You're doing a very good job so far.
2009-08-30 09:00:57
Thanks. I don`t know how much more I am able to improve the current rank. Doesn`t really matter - First 16 is far away and baving a second seed is good enough. But getting to Top 20 would be insane already.

What ranking were we when you came into Office?
2009-08-30 10:10:40
38th..
2009-09-06 08:55:33
Historic moment:)

25 New Zealand 2172.27
26 Danmark 2171.20
27 Australia 2124.46

From now it wil be more difficult to improve our place, caps are quite big, but I´ll do my best.
2009-09-06 09:12:13
Well it didn't happen under my reign so it's fine ;). We'll get it back at some stage anyway :p.

lol

Blame the new coach and people who voted for him:)
2009-09-06 09:18:30
of course :p. Haha, nah it would have happened anyway, even if I had been in charge. I doubt we would have beaten Belgie and you were able to knock over Suomi. You've knocked over some strong teams in recent weeks/months. USA, Suomi x 2, Us x 2. Certainly not a fluke when you've repeatedly performed. You deserved to overtake us on that record.

You already mentioned the US.

;D

Still 26th, but we continue gaining ranking points:)

Hey Mourinho, keep updating ranking in the first post:)
