Like last season, we have stuck to the policy of no foreigners as NT coach.. I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but we really do want a New Zealand player to coach the NT team.

We have a couple of able managers.

I'm standing up for NT coach this season. So if you want to battle me, do so >:) and we'll see whether a new zealander or foreigner gets the votes!

Okay here's my speech.

I'm the manager of deathstrike currently in premier of New Zealand. I have played sokker for 5-6 seasons and am easily the oldest member here. I might be the most experience but I still can't say I'm the best. There are other really tough New Zealand teams out there! I have won the premier three times in a row and I'm hoping to continue that run. I am active in the forums and I am really active on sokker. I log in for 3 hours a day or even more. I have a good array of tactics and trust me, I play insane tactics sometimes which is a good thing ;)

If I were the coach, I would ensure that everyone HAS to HAVE a say in what tactics or what formations I should play. Everyone is included and we will have a thread on the NT games. I would make sure that I spend a lot of time. I am ready to work really hard and make New Zealand, into a competitive country.

Give your vote to me if you think I'm worthy or the role. Goodluck to all other managers! Peace

As I said, we need to have our own identity as a country in sokker world, for good or for bad. But only this way we will ever grow to have pride in our NT.

Nothing against foreign coaches per-se (I am a foreigner after all), but a great desire to see our country grow in the game but also through new users who might be enticed by the opportunity to one day become NT coach and contribute to our international glory. So, go bballmaster2, may the Mana of NZ be your guide.

Then You take the best tactic and play that in the next match? The opponent will read this forum and will know your tactic then.
I think its better to take some good assistants and talk alot about the oppenent. So they (the opponent) don't know your view about them and you have some feedback through the assistants.

I will try to create our own New Zealand sokker site for discussion and only New Zealanders are allowed to go in :)
We have our own NT site for freekick.org ;)
2006-04-04 11:54:34
It takes alot of time to create a nice site, but off course it will help New Zealand growing. I hope You will make it :)

What do You thing about the Match Engine and the playmakers in combination with that? :)
2006-04-04 12:04:00
perfect :) IN NZ we have just the playmakers that do that ;)
2006-04-04 12:13:47
would you play the offside tactic?
2006-04-04 20:34:23
Would you Magoma if you were elected?

And would you listen to new zealanders if you got the post? An if you did, how would you communicate with us without letting the opposition know?
Did you run for NT in Belgium? Where you elected? If Not to both questions, then why not?
And lastly Magoma, why do you want to become a NT coach for our country?

I would not ask questions to bballmaster to try to pu him under pressure if I were running for the position myself. You run for yours and bball for his. ;-)
Advienne que pourra' mon ami...
2006-04-04 23:02:03
how about New Zealanders in half like me? :) see my profif/topic ;)
2006-04-05 10:15:12
Which half, one should wonder ;-))
2006-04-05 11:21:40
I'm not putting him under pressure. I know bballmaster from IRC, he's a good friend :) The reason why I was asking questions too him is that it was here calm and there are some subjects that important for the NT.

I wouldn't use offside much. Before the new Match Engine it was easy to play offside. Now with running passes, its very hard to play offside. If You know they will chose a tactic where they play high with the strikers ... You can take that tactic, but its always a big risk.

I listen too New Zealanders yeah ... otherwise I wouldn't want to become the BC of NZ. How will I do the communication? First of all, I will open 1 topic on the forum, with the news. There will I post everything from players who has got a selection, the reason of that, the fixtures of the friendlies, etc. ... Every NT match, I will post a report before the match and after the match ... why I have chosen that tactic, ...

Yeah, I'm the NT coach of Belgium at the moment. Won the group E before the much better countries the Netherlands, Canada and Scotland. I put Belgium from the 27th place till the 14th place now. The only lost match was against Poland ... :) It is possible to become NT coach of Belgium again, but I know someone who's also good in coaching the NT and I like changing my activities at Sokker.

The first project was the Mentor(Tutor) System (helping newbies and leading that project) at Belgium. We growed alot with that, but when I become a NT coach and know there was someone else who has the capacity for being the chief of that ;) I gave that project to him. After that I started a NT Sokker Belgium radio, a site, and yeah NT coach then :)

Why New Zealand? Because I want to use my experience to help New Zealand. Maybe I can help NZ growing with users and in the worldranking.

Sanco: Maqoma is a friend from IRC. He is experience and I'm sure he would do well as a NT coach if get the job but I would be very happy if Maqoma can stay and give advice if he wishes if he doesn't get the job. Thanks for backing me up. You're a mate.

Maqoma: Since there are five tactics, I can make one of them offside. However I cannot reveal what my other tactics would be. Some prying eyes ;) NZ has plenty of high playmaking players. (thanks to silly ole me) so I will make full use of that.

Maqoma I have all my respect for you and I know you are a very capable and good manager. I think belgium needs you too. It's good of you to stand down to let someone else take the role as NT coach.
In the same way, snowy has been a really good NT coach but I think it's time I regain my former position as NT coach of New Zealand.
Maqoma I wish you all the best with the NEW ZEaland and Belgium votes.

I also want to let all New Zealanders know that maqoma is a good person and can be trusted. I've talked to him many times. He is different from other managers. I guess we should treatl him and all other managers going for NT with respect.

It has been 6 votes so far. It could go anyones way :) May the best candidate win.
