Subject: NZ in World Cup

Lost 5:1 - they were just much better and faster, difficult to stop their strikers. However I am satisfied as surprising as it might sound. Tactically I would give myself 4 points from 5..Not perfect, because throw-ins setting wasn`t the best and strikers positioning could have been bit better.

Oorschot played well, used him because I knew Nederland will get mostly 1-1 chances, so was wise to use him, despite of his adequate pace. Brent Gilbert scored our goal, again...saved the day and made me proud:)

2nd World Cup game tomorrow against another top team - the call themselves Brasil. The are ranked around 11th in the world, which makes them clear outsiders in our group. Expecting an easy game and 3 points.

It´s good our strikers are in form and I can take my pick from 4 players. Shame about the defenders. Findlay back in tragic form, this dude is a complete mystery....

I am planning to watch it live, will be playing basketball all day - it will be one sided game and our 3 points are so obvious, so why should I:)

Was so close of making bit history and a little miracle, but failed...

Great game, I suggest watching it. Getting three points wasn`t impossible. At least 5-6 times our strikers were tackled from behind when they were one on one against keeper, so didn`t had a chance to shoot.

Next week will be more difficult, can`t use Watts and Williams - maybe I will try something really risky. Last match and it will decide nothing.

well played, shame the opportunities lost but you can be proud about the approach.

Last match against Argentina in 3 hours. The strongest team in our group and on paper imo. My plan is to crush them as bugs, only a plan though...Have no idea how it will turn out when the match starts:)

We have serious problems in defense - Watts and Williams can`t play due to red card problem, Edwards and Findlay in low form....Gilbert injured. I have thought about tactic for the last 3 days. Extremely difficult. I have actually created 3 tactics, deleted all of them...Just can make up my mind how to play.

Anyway will see how it goes.

Omfg...so pissed off right now:)

Again, like against Brazil last week we lost our points in the last 10 minutes. Everything worked so well before Edwards was sent off. Their first goal came from the the wing Edwards was. Campfens wasn`t clearly good enough and their winger just went through him.

Definitely must see match. Pretty cool.

World Cup is over for us - I think we did well. Would give 3.5p/5 to our performance.
Matches against Brasil and Argentina were close and we had chances getting some points. Those points were robbed in the last few minutes. Match against Netherlands is the biggest disappointment. Different time zone was the reason I guess, Morocombe said so:) We scored 4 goals - 2 from Brunton and 2 from Brent Gilbert.
