Subject: [U21] friendly season

Bad luck again :(
Why the hell Nathan Reid doesn't score? 8/0...I thought he'd be a striker when I sold him, now when I see him playing like that I better should've kept him to turn him into a midfielder.
2013-07-13 22:29:57
And he's our best striker.
I'm still pissed because of that match. No luck this season. Till now.
2013-07-19 14:01:58
Finally our first victory! Today we used our chances much better. Doug Donoso did an excellent job. The midfield was weaker than last week, but who cares today?
The injury of Doug Davidson was nasty. He's out for the rest of the season. :-(

congratulations :)

Thanks a lot!

Actually Nathan Reid - probably our best U21-striker is on TL now. Certainly no low start bidding.

i think donoso scored for reid too after the last match :)
i liked how the defenders played unlike the last matches...the result is well deserved

Actually Nathan Reid - probably our best U21-striker is on TL now. Certainly no low start bidding.

he definitly deserves that amount of money...4,5M NZ$ isn`t that much for someone with those sideskills and his age
i guess charall will be most happy with this :)

Yes, the defenders played a bit more offensively. But I have to work on the gap between defense and midfield.
Yes (2), Reid is worth that money. The comparison sees a plus of about 30% to the current price. He's really strong for his age.

"Club received 258 000 NZ$ from transfer of junior Nathan Reid." :)

Hope he'll get some further training at his new club though.

the one who paid that amount for him will definitly train him well :)

New Zealand (75.) - Wales (61.)

Cheerio! Today we have an U21-test against Cymru. After our last weeks victory I've a bit more self confidence and Wales is definitely a team we can beat. But who knows - often enough we had the better team on the ground and were defeated. The match against India was the bottom of this nearly finished season. I'm confident to win today and it's necessary because of two hard U20-tests in the next week. First we will have a test against Estonia who actually are 18th in the world ranking. After that we'll face Sweden which actually is number 41.
Today our last weeks triple striker Doug Donoso is on the pitch. Certainly Reid has the lower form and form is really important at strikers. Our best U21-players are in a really strong condition: Mitchell, Cowan and Bodger, not to forget Stephens and Witt. Also our best U20-players show nice form: Hagan, Zoricich. Even Mister "All-Time-At-Zero" Ed Kingi exploded to 2!
The pitch is prepared and so is the team. Please keep your fingers crossed for the second victory of this season!

deserved win, well done :)

i think this is the highest mark i have ever seen at NZ u21 to be honest...and you used 6-7 players of 20 or lower

Thanks a lot!
Well, Bodger with his rating of 88 did a lot for the average rating. And as I wrote before we actually have the fortune to have our best U21-players with great form.
But it was indeed a deserved win. Thanks Curly Boyd - who developed into our mascot. We've never lost the matches when Curly was at least on the bench. :-)

maybe he`s your lucky charm :)

you should have got 3 wins in a row if it wasn`t for that match againts india, but this result will boost a little the rankings..

I'm still worrying with that India-match. This was just nasty of the ME. Otherwise we could have lost against Indonesia and we did not.
2013-07-26 20:59:12
this is the ME...can`t do anything about it
you can win a match with 2-3 shots or you can lose one the way you did with india...very unpredictible

New Zealand (74.) - Swerige (44.)

After our nasty defeat last week against Estonia - a match with a desastrous tactics from me - we now have another northeuropean team: Sweden. The team of coach Spanb doesn't seem to be as strong as the Estonians but it will be hard enough for us to hold up. Again we play with our U20 squad and that means that our last victory against Wales two weeks ago was the last match of the U21 team. Next friday the players will have birthday and so we will play again with our current U20 squad. Hopefully the owners of the U21 players are not to disappointed because of this. As I said in the beginning of the season my aim was to play many U20 matches to push the team that will play the qualification round next season. Nevertheless I want to thank you. Players like Cowan, Mitchell and Witt were the basis of our best matches. Thank you very much! Certainly Bodger didn't get his 30st NT-match. ;)
We actually don't have a complete U20-team. We have to use some strong U19-players but that's not unusual. Certainly our Doug Donoso is injured so our most unerring scorer will be absent against Sweden. Hopefully he will be fit for the upcoming season.
Enjoy!
