Yesterday we lost 1:0 with Hungary... next Saturday we're playing with our old friends from Jamaica :)) maybe this'll help us and give luck during World Cup - matches started 27.02 (match with Nederland).

I received a message today, from one of our users, which says that my position as a trainer of New Zealand depends on my success/failure during the World Cup. I'm pretty shocked because for me it's obvious that I'll do my best to achieve the best score and there's no need to say such things.

I think that you know what kind of players we have and how strong are group is (our average note: 72.8; Holland - 80.9; France - 81.4; Slovensko - 79.8.) Of course, I want to do everything to beat them but I can set only tactic, choose players and keep my fingers crossed. Maybe it'll end up with success, as with Peru or Eesti but it may be a failure as well.

What is more, World Cup is a big success both for New Zealand and for me so I think that you'll support me during those matches and we can have ups and downs together.

Yep, it'll be easier to be an incurable optimist and think 'we'll win World Cup', but I prefer to stay calm and do everything to win or draw some matches, not to promise/expect too much.

It was nearly a miracle you managed to get to the world championship. Everything but losing all the matches at the WC would be a bigger miracle. You've done more than one could expect.

You are doing a great job, ignore that message, that person is likely an idiot.

With opponents like that no one can expect to win the cup. Reaching the semis would be fine for me :D

Good luck for the first match, if "we" could sneak a point vs. the Dutch the world cup already would be a success.

yes, decent match, you had your chance to score, unfortunately it ended up like that...
looking at all the groups, it seems this one is the toughest by the teams rating and rankings..all the other ones get over 80 in rating

But i still think you can get at least a draw, Reid can play in the next match, and maybe you`re have more luck with him on the pitch

amazing match!! I was so excited when in first 45' the score was 1:0 for us...

I did yesterday special tactic, I changed settings of defenders...but I forgot changed this one and we played the same as with Nederland :/
