You guys make this easy with both NT being in the same thread.

How would you guys like to have a trans-tasman weekend.
We used to have these matches at the end of the season, but as numbers dwindled in NZ and Aus, and other country managers came in, it got lost.

I was thinking maybe week 12 and week 0, and from then on, week 0 every season.

Well this week is the big match between Aus and NZ.

Not sure how many actual NZers are here, but they will definitely understand the fun we have battling each other across the ditch.

Good luck. NZ has an incredibly strong team this season, as has been shown by their fast rise through the rankings

Yes, that's right, it's a great match, I think New Zealand will score 3 points;) Good luck and my friend

Haha I think you may be right. But it wouldn't be fair to pick and choose when we play NZ (ie only when Aus has the stronger team), that goes against a proper rivalry.

NZ agreed to playing Aus many years ago despite almost always losing, only fair for me to return the favour haha
2020-04-22 22:08:41
Not always :P

I trained both, Australia and NZ , and when i trained NZ i got 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats against Australia, and when I trained you guys I beat NZ once...
I think there is quite a big difference in squad quality now if we compare the u20 , but you proved you are a good manager
So what`s going to be, u20? :)

U21 this week, and then U21 again after age updates.

Gives both ages a crack.

Also I'm talk pre 2013 haha. That was pretty much when I left the game, so really only know about 2007/8-2013 (I can't remember what year sokker started, but I started a few months in to it), and 2017-2020
2020-04-23 17:56:47
I also talk about 2011-2013 :)
I trained NZ NT for about 7 seasons, and every season I would play our game...I only lost about 3 games out of 7 against Australia, even though you guys had a better national team

Nice work.
One day I'd love to get the stats for the Aus teams, and see all the nations they have played, their records etc. and see whether there are any nations they haven't played as well.

Thanks for getting involved in the rivalry. I'm sure every country has one somewhere, but it's hard for people from different countries to know which ones exist

Good game. Australia certainly had their chances to draw, but the higher rated team deserved to win on the day.

Not sure our U20's will even be able to put up a fight at the start of next season haha. With the current squad you have, you may even be in the running to get out of the WCQ stage and in to the group stage
2020-04-24 14:57:11
You definitly had a chance to draw, but i think overall NZ had a extra oportunities to score :)

Would be nice to qualify next season at the WC, would be for the first time, but the squad is still young and a lot of players lack important skills...it happens to know most of the players on the pitch today
If only the team would have one more good midfielder and a striker like Atkinson, it could happen :)

Good luck to you too in the upcoming season...you are doing great with the team you have

Thanks mate.

I didn't realise NZ have never made it to the group stage. Thought at their prime they may have.

You have a great opportunity with such a strong squad, but I guess you never know what the bigger nations may pull over the next 16 or so weeks
2020-05-13 01:37:30
So i see nobody applied for the job at NT, so i will give it another try :)
I`ll try to keep us in the 3`rd pot for the next qualifications, meaning we will be playing friendlies with a bunch of strong teams.
2020-05-13 08:39:30
It's going to be difficult but it will be a good challenge for sure
2020-05-14 01:57:24
Difficult but not impossible :)
2020-05-14 07:03:50

Very good you are here, welcome back to the coach's chair, good luck

I didnt win any elections yet, but thank you :)
And good luck to you too.
