I don't think the other coaches are experienced enough, and the main candidate, Maqoma, hasn't even written an election speech. Quite disappointing really - has he taken it as a given that he will be coach?

bball has done an excellent job with the NT team over this past term. I, for one, would like to see him continue!

Maybe I should stand ;).

BTW, Bballmaster has gone for the job in Denmark.

Maqoma is on vacation til august 10 and he can't react on the forum. He is a very well respected member and you can be sure you can rely on him for the job! He has also got the support of bballmaster and me, so he's perfect for the job.

vote maqoma! :)

Seeing as that is only 2 days before the first National Team match, I don't think he's being very professional, and I definitely won't be voting for him now.

thanks snowy

I'm up in the electoral role now.

I'll run things differently though. Certain weeks you must make the tactics.. snowy and barhilo and whoever wants to have some NT coach experience. In the future seasons we will have respectable candidates...
If you dont, then I'll play the worse tactic possible and you get the blame :) I'll either give you my login details or you can send screen shots to me and I'll build it exactly like you want me to. On the night before I'll have a look at it with Maqoma and he or me can do the slight changes and correct any small mistake and we will tell you.

In 1 season u will be a better tactician than me

I will leave France tonight and will write my speech tomorrow..sorry for my late reaction.

in an attempt to compare/contrast i will ask you the same questions that i asked Maqoma.

#1: what is your favourite tactic to use (does not have to be best suited to NZ team) and why?

#2: do you think that playmaking or passing is more important to a midfielder and why?

#3: after reviewing the losses to England and France, what changes would you have made to the tactics and what did you think you did wrong (if anything)

#4 do you think, ideally, a striker should have playmaking and/or defending and why?
2006-08-01 15:02:12
due to you liking this question:

#5: would you prefer to play to an your own strength's or an opponent's weakness?
2006-08-01 15:06:45
also, why do you randomly come on in the early hours of the morning???
2006-08-01 15:07:24
1) 4-1-2-1-2 becauseeee I like it

2) playmaking! becauseeee I have many high playamkers and they just win me the damn premier each time ^^

3) Play with Bodger and try to assasinate correy bridge

4) Defending. how we scored in the last game

5) I shall wait for maqomas answer.

wad on earth are u still doing awake Barhilo? :o
2006-08-01 15:08:09
I dont know.. I think its because of my assingments.. I cant think properly right now. I want to sleep..
2006-08-01 15:15:04
slight insomnia which has resulted from being sick over the past few days..

could you possibly have more depth to your answers? i dont feel convinced by them. For example, you choose 4-1-2-1-2.. what tactical advantage does it have over opponents? would you prefer to keep the midfielders in the middle or spread out on the wings?

I believe that your winning of the Premier this season was quite lucky also. I plan to win this season (with the cup) but why do you think playmaking trumps passing?

After reading the england conferences post NZ-England match, i saw them saying that Bridge had a dismal performance.. Also, without Bodger how would you have played the game to try and win? Do you alter your tactics when a key player is injured to accommodate for the lost skill?

how did defending help us score in the last game?

do you think that Maqoma's answer will depend on how you respond also?

please feel free to sleep on these, because i do want proper, open-ended answers.

PS: by sleep on, i do not mean the dodgy sense of.
2006-08-01 15:18:41
OH poor you I seriously hate being sick..I just got well..

those answers were filled with sarcasm... :P I didnt mean any of it :) and also I dont want to get Barhilo angry if I lose to mexico so I better pull out of the elctions :P
2006-08-01 15:20:39
oh thank god.. for a sec there i thought you were being serious :/

i hate being sick also, not pleasant.

If you become NT coach again, will you shout snowy and i some lunch?
2006-08-01 15:22:27
