I get paid 7.40 before tax and 6.00 after tax.

Yes thats the lowest pay rate in New Zealand.

I call that slave labour.. I work at BK at hornby once a week for 5 hours :)

7.60 is minimum for 16/17 year olds at the moment :)

i get adult minimum seeing as i'm now 18 which is 10.25 and i work 14 hour weeks.

add to that, my soon-to-be-receiving student allowance, which is another hundred odd per week..

do you get student allowance too? How do you apply for that? One hundred a week. Thats hell lots...

you can apply for student allowance once you turn 18 :) its not that much seeing as its supposed to cover living expenses.. for me though (the rest of this year anyway) it will be covering gaming expenses :D

are you in university of canty btw? and snowy is in year 12?
I want student allowance >:) 100 a week is a lot for a poor guy like me.

i'm year 13 at same school, going to canty next year.

i get 115 from work per week, so i wont mind getting about double :P
