Not sure there will be a game this week - meant to be playing Peru, but not had the challenge accepted.

They did accept in the end. Ended up in a 4-3 loss but it was a close game and I think overall not too bad of a result considering their team has better quality in midfield (one of the areas most lacking in the NZ side). Early exit from mini wc sadly though so back to normal friendlies until the Australia game.

nice try, but i think Root still has a say in the middies. Bring him off the bench, im sure hes still good for 20 mins gametime at the top. :)

Went 2-0 up very quickly, then lost Webster to a straight red after 10 minutes just on the side that their winger was. Lost Priorie to a red early in the second half, so all in all pleased just to have come out of that game with a win!

Cymru up today. There are quite a few injuries and suspensions to players I would have normally used, but hopefully it should be a strong enough squad I am putting out today.

For sure! Need to get a chance to watch the game and see what went wrong. Injuries and suspensions hurt but that was a bit OTT!

5-2 loss against WC qualifiers Russia. NZ is going to need the quality in midfield in order to challenge again, as things stand I can only see the ranking slipping slowly towards the lower reaches.

7-1 vs Scotland loss. Need a complete rethink really with my approach to these games.
