well that was a very nice match against Canada, i think we dominated most of that game especially in the first half and i think we just played superbly, except a few minor errors.

Bodger had a few VERY nice shots on goal and if it weren't for that blasted keeper being so good he would've scored a hattrick.. Hird managed to screw up a few opportunities one on one but still came through with 2 goals and a massive 68 rating. Bodger equalling his highest of 65 also.

i like the striker formation too, centralised and i also liked from the kickoff where Bodger and Chadwick were right beside each other, when Bodger tackled one of the other team he dribbled it up a bit, chadwick took it off then ran and got tackled, Bodger claimed the ball and almost scored. Class.

nice work in getting revenge bball :P

forgot to say, throw ins were HORRIBLE!! need to work on those definitely :P

Yeap, nice work. Canada played same tactic again..the moment was there for taking revenge *moehaha* :)

I bet he has divine striker and something stupid like weak pace and poor tech.

I don't know..that player was very good when I was NT coach of Belgium...long time ago :)

Canada played same tactic again

Actually this was a brand new untested tactic - one that was terrible and has already been erased. :)

Barry is still viable and will play in the WC. But at 27 with magical experience (and on a bot team) there is little to be gained by playing him in a friendly. Same goes for a number of our usual A-squad guys. I also withheld anyone on 1 yellow card. So you did see a weaker line-up.

Nice win nonetheless. Best wishes in the WC.

Ow..thought it was a mirror from your tactic in our last goup match :)

Magical expierence is nice :)

Good luck to you too!

Looking back it is similar to what was used in qualifying against NZ. But it was a new tactic (with Italy in mind).

Back to the drawing board. :)

You know me Seca, being such a nice manager and all I told my players to give you that last minute consolation goal. :)

This wasn't our strongest lineup too although I tried to make it a strong one. Pritchett is in hopeless form and John Kilkenny was red carded.

I thought this game was okay.. Hmm we had a LOT of throw ins and I thought it was alright. The recipent just sucked. (Gordon Robben) The main purpose of Gordon Robben is to be a defensive stone in the midfield and not to pass. I think I'll switch him with a better passing midfielder in the next game. Notice that Gordon Robben always receives the throw ins and does crappy passes?

Bodger had a good game although I was a bit sad not seeing him score.. His partnership with Chadwick could be seen.. Great teamwork.. quite funny

Chadwick did some good runs and needs to work on his pace. He can now be on the same level with Bodger and Hird and it is extremly hard to choose between the three if I'm playing a two striker formation.

Hird well, I gotta give him man of the match since he scored both goals although it was an average performance.

Pritchett, disappointing game from him. I expected a goal from our corner but he didnt manage to deliver the pass. Hopeless form is not wise to play. Will be switched

Alex Richards, well I would have loved to see more action from this young lad but he is playing with the big guns now and I dont think he got much of the ball

Gordon Robben, he challenged the midfield and made some nice tackles, however passing is very poor. Will be switched

Greg Dawkins, one of my favourite defenders I think he deserved the runner up to man of the match. He was as solid as freaking anything tackling anything from behind on in front. Great game from him and you will be seeing more of him.

Luke Harris, strong defender. One of the strongest in the NT team, had an average game didnt see much action from him. Played well

Jason Chadwick, possibly the best defender in the NT team. Did some crucial saves, well done!

Gary Edwards, our youngest player on the NT squad. Only 20 The stand in player for John Kilkenny. Played awesome. I had a hard time picking between him and a few others but he played well. Congrats to him :)

Matthew Alves, Well he made 1 save I think.. Cant remember. Only outstanding.. Crappy :P But still out best. Just like me, he's a nice guy and let the last goal in :)

Barhilo: YES WE DOMINATED! :)
Seca: Nvm maybe next time :P

We're looking strong. I hope for a good run in the world cup.

Hope everyone is enjoying their freaking holidays! I'm in auckland now in sky tower hotel! (originally from christchurch)

Bring back Kelly:)

I think Pritchett should be kicked out of the team.. he sucks! ;)

Atkinson popped to outstanding passing since you mentioned "a midfielder with better passing"!

Our strikers have been blinded in the headlights! Somebody get them some glasses!
2006-12-09 09:19:26
Damn Hellas defenders camped 20m in front of our forwards :P

We were probably lucky to win that, with the offside trap being so effect. If Gary Edwards didn't have such wretched passing, he'd be my MOTM, so it'd have to go to Mark Kelly I think!
