This is the final week of the Copa America. Turkey wrote today looking for a match - We've arranged to play next week.

I wrote Cometer earlier in the week to see if Australia wanted a match yet this season. He hasn't got back to me.

Yeah had been away over the weekend, so that's why I hadn't replied.

No problem. :) Sounds like Australia is willing to play the following week. So ...

I believe Hungary will play Week 2. So the rest of the season should go like this:

Ack. That friendly schedule is screwed up - I managed to add an extra week in there. Usually I put the dates in too - prevents these mistakes.

I have one opponent too many. Will sort it out. Stay tuned! :)

3 players released from NT duty today. All were on bot teams that did not fall fast enough (would be another 2 seasons minimum with the existing release rule).

In addition, I plan to cull the roster before I leave the desk. It's under 50, which I think is reasonable, but I want the new manager to be able to make some moves. I believe it's easier for me to make cuts then the new guy. Many of my cuts may be readded immediately - hard to say. :)

All cuts will be listed here to make it easy to recall. I also plan to organize my prospects list and post them here before I go.

These 11 will likely go. Probably in a little over a week's time. Most are oldsters who (IMO) have been surpassed by younger players. A couple are prospects that never really panned out.

Rob Shields has been called up for NT duty, and will start Saturday. He is Wivak's choice as the Copa America Contest Champion. Tho he often plays defense for his club, he is likely to see action in midfield for the National side.

Brendon Watts is transfer listed.

He is one of the players that will be dropped from the roster next week. So if interested, buy him for his stats, not his NT status.
