*wishes there was a "Do not sell to rivals" transfer clause* :P

I'm going to try to buy him too hehe
2007-11-16 10:51:41
The higher the bids the better for me =]
2007-11-16 11:27:02
Feel free to engage in a vicious and long bidding war :P

test tactic worked pretty well, the offside trap worked perfectly, to bad we didn't get more shot in,

Half B squad did their job good. any comments?

Throw ins still need a little working on i think, otherwise it was pretty good. A lot of ball going to Bodger and Hawkey/Chadwick which was good, Bodger just liked to hit it at the goalkeeper though, except for the "can't miss" goals.

Nice win

Hmm Is Hawkey better then Chadwick? Personally I rate Chadwick up there with Bodger and Hird. :P Maybe that was last time.
2007-11-17 13:34:16
i gave hawkey a chance to prove himself, there were more B players anyways

From my observation, it appeared as if 10 players who played against Italy played today (counting subs). Does that imply you were playing B players then?

Anyways congrats on the win today. Was a really good job defending and you finished off the chances reasonably well. Was an interesting game to watch.

Edit: Wish I could count properly tonight :@.

Good answer. Last thing I expected from the NT manager ;).
2007-11-17 14:28:47
anyways, its a win
2007-11-17 14:34:57
Yeah and it was a really nice convincing win as well.
2007-11-17 14:36:56
could have been better :) i still saw some errors in the tactics and in the positioning of some players :)

The midfield worked quite well. giving good passes
The defense stood their ground and thats what matters.
The attackers were a bit blurry, probably been out drinking out night again..

Solid tactic and a nice match. The central defense (Harris & Kilkenny) really stood out to me as having a great game.

I was also surprised to see so many A-squad players on the pitch. Very risky given the squad's propensity for cards and injuries. :) New Zealand may have an easy match next week, but is in a position where every goal counts.

IMO it's short-sighted to use players like J. Chadwick (oldsters who aren't getting training) in friendlies. The NT training bonus may not sound like much, but every little bit helps and it seems a shame to waste it.
