Good reason. I did eventually watch the match, and thought young Lynch played well. :)

And Gilbert wasn't as bad as the 1 for 10 suggested. I think he only missed the net a couple of times. Opposing keeper made some nice stops on him.

Anyone got a crystal ball for the big Denmark match? Here are my (optimistic) predictions:

- Bodger will be shaken from his recent transfer and will not play well for the first 60 minutes. But being the vet that he is, he will pull himself together and come through in the last 20.

- Watts will play his arse off and rally the defense, including an assist. His enthusiasm will lead him to pick up his 3rd yellow just in time to sit out the bye week.

- Taylor will stand on his head, causing Denmark strikers lots of grief. He will be the consensus "Man of the Match".

Don't like looking at crystal balls very much but it wouldn't surprise me if it finished a 2 - 2 draw or a 1 goal deviation from that. Should be an interesting game to watch though.

It's going to be very tough, especially given the condition of the New Zealand roster.

Ok i would love to know the reasoning of the logic for this tactic because i thought it was ABSOLUTELY terrible.

i didn't had time to check the tactic cerb made this week. imo it was a very bad tactic, we don't have to look for excuses. should have played with 5 defenders and 1 winger. also strikers were too low. throw ins weren't good at all, gave away too many dangerous counters like that. i feel bad about this because danmark looked beatable, i wasn't too impressed about their tactic either but that no excuse either

don't believe you were robbed. I think they outplayed you (due to tactical decisions and their fairly strong players) and as a result they got the win at least from my side watching it.

Nice try. :) Generated some good scoring chances. As you pointed out, unfortunately most all of them went to Hawkey. Hawkey did not have a good match.

I think New Zealand was a little fortunate Gammeltoft had an awful game - Denmark funneled a number of attacks through their wing, but Gammeltoft essentially wasted them all.

Come now guys, dont forget Denmark is much much much bigger then us. They definitley had the better players. Some of their goals were because of blunders made by our defenders.
If Hird was playing instead of Hawkey, I am confident the score would be very different.

I thought we played an interesting tactic. The two mids were a bit funny hahaha. never mind.. Next time!

i once invented that tactic, it works quite good actually, but here the players positioning was all wrong and not the time to try it :)
