Congrats on a wonderful result. :)

With no disrespect to the New Zealand defense, they collectively played a little over their head in this one. Very few defensive zone errors. I'm amazed they could play 2/3 of the match in their end and be almost mistake free.

Some pretty nice distance shooting from Gilbert. With some of the results I've seen in qualifying, I'm beginning to wonder if it's better to shoot from 25 yards then 5 yards. :)

Congrats again. 19 points should put New Zealand through. And with a week to spare. Good job.

PS - Roza in defensive midfield? Surely you jest. :D

i tried to drown their midfield and push up the defense a little. well, graham had adequate stamina and roza is very fast and got some defending so if he could tackle without getting the ball, the ball wouldve jumped from italy feet and defender could clear up the ball more easy, tactical plan was good i think .. :)

The tactical approach was good. :) It's a tremendous victory, and it's not my intent to nitpick. Was just surprised Roza would be selected ahead of say, Kelly (I know Kelly's form isn't great, but he is way better suited to the role).

Kelly was available. He had no cards against Andorra, and still has two NT yellows.

He is suspended from league play. OMG. Did you sit him out because of that?

Nice win, although rather streaky I must say. Suppose it's always going to have to be when you stack that many behind the ball though ;).
