Yeah. I had my fingers crossed it wasn't going to be another month long injury. Good to see Kingi get a run to :)

ok this is REALLY starting to irk me.

Are you stupid or do you have a learning disability? Throw ins near the corner line can be terrific goal scoring opportunities if you have someone to pass to. In fact, all over the park passing to a high passing player can create awesome opportunities. How many times do i have to tell you to get through the head? Bloody hell!
If i was in charge, i would feel ashamed losing 3-1 to a 10 man team that we have beaten in the past on more than one occasion. Effectively having a 3 man defense against any good team is a risky call. Having no cover, except from behind, on a high technique, increasingly high pace winger with good passing is horrible.
I am surprised that Australia didn't score more given the opportunities. Fact of the matter is, even though total shots were equal, Australia opportunities were of a much higher quality when it is usually the opposite. Seeing the tactics just as the match started i knew that Byers would score a goal from tackling a defender. the two defensive mid?? players were placed horribly too, they were running in and out all over the park. Why is Chadwick playing in an offside trap considering his amount of pace?
One of the bigger things too, you have me right here and could've asked me about what approach Australia might take to the game. I am always watching Australia games and their forum is my second home, not to mention their central striker for the match is in my team!
This effort was worse than the first twenty20 game played against England by the black caps.

3 DEF defense against Australia means no preparation for the game in my opinion. Who plays 3 DEF against a team, that is known and was known since the beginning for great wingers.
AND THAT'S THE GAME!!!
No need to reply to that post, I'm handing Barhilo the walkover.

i don't think you really looked at the match, chances of australia were bigger?? don't let me laugh..... i counted hird 5 or 6 times 1vs1 against the keeper and missed everytime. I know this match for NZ is important, but 3 defs and 2 high defs i tried to push up the game. did you see how many times australia was offside? you only break down everything we do, in stead of only telling the bad things. like i said in my speech, when i get elected i have more time to work on tactics. what i couldn't this time. chadwick i banged my head against the wall, edwards should have stood there. but ok..
sorry barhilo, it's ok to say what is wrong, but you also have to say what was good and i never hear that from you, even when we won against italy, you went spamming all forum to say we were so lucky, how you think that feels .. also you tell it in a way that is really offensive in my eyes..

5 or 6 times. I think you should take a recount there, don't think it was that many, considering bodger had a goal, and there were 2-3 shots outside the box, that leaves a maximum of 3-4 shots.
Edit: In fact, there were 2 1 on 1's with Hird. Can possibly argue a 3rd one when the striker and keeper arrived at the same spot at virtually the same time and the keeper won it but that was all.
Yeah you got us offside but because of your offside trap we scored all 3 of our goals from. Was it worth the number of offsides you got? The truth is the offside trap may have worked had you covered the winger as well.
There wasn't really a great deal of positives there for you lot so Barhilo focussed on what didn't go right. Suppose one of the only positive was your wing placement was rather neat and you were able to get a few 1 on 1's from our pushed up defense. Tackling Widera front on with Hird was surprising, which led to one of your 1 on 1's. Hird had a pretty good game, given the limited chances he had, just didn't finish off very well.
Offside traps backfire more times than they succeed imo, have to be careful when to play them and I don't think this was the right time to play that card.

I like an offside trap as part of one's repertoire, but I think an offside trap with just 3 defenders is a little kamikaze. :) Especially when your opponent has a dynamic winger like Willis, and a pesky striker like Byers.
Wasn't Taylor's best match. His pass in the 80th minute (to, errr, Willis) was not one for the highlight reel. :D Not much he could do on most of the goals tho - was out of position on 2 of them.
I haven't seen the player stats for nearly a season, but I think switching De Bruin and Edwards would have made a difference today. I think you need the best pure defenders in the back-line, especially with 3. But like I said, I am out of date. :)
Beauchamps wasn't nearly as dynamic as last week. Not quite ready to play with the big boys? :D

Would have been if Richter had of nailed the header from the cross though :p.

He had Edwards on him who is a defender, so to be fair to Beauchamp he was well contained. Baveas had similar problems also in the first half ;). Even so, Beauchamp is close, but probably needs another season of training to crack the barrier. He's kind of on the fence atm ;).

Very true. He was fantastic last week - looks like a very promising young player. :)
One positive out of that game was Watts picking up a yellow card to make him suspended for next week.
Means he'll be available for the WC games without having to worry about another yellow making him out of action (unless he decides to make a repeat of his last antics in the World Cup).

I do believe freak red cards followed Seca so that shouldn't be a problem =]
Ack! You are totally putting the whammie on someone. (Remains to be seen if it's me or New Zealand). :D

Slovensko certainly aren't easy, Lietuva is a nightmare prospect and Danmark finished above you in qualifying rounds. Going to be a tough ask, and you say it's not the hardest group, but it's not the easy group either ;).
Good luck with your world cup campaign.
